KNOX

"Why are we going to this bar?".

I look over to my roommate,Brooks.

As a Carrington I had a reputation to uphold. And that meant banging the most chicks I can while also remaining perfect in my parents eyes.I like to call it my specialty.I was always good at being perfect.

Perfect Looks
Perfect Grades
Perfect Friends.
Perfect Smile.
Knox Carrington,The perfect Carrington.

Or that's what my older sister Astrid likes to call me.

"Because it's our first night in town and I say we make a few good memories on our first night"Brooks says smiling.

Just meeting Brooks for the first time I could already tell you that he was going to be a piece of work.

He truly was going to be a handful to be around. But hey sometimes you needed to have that kind of friend to be around.

They were the life of the party..minus the drugs that came with it. "are you sure these fakes will work?"I ask.

While he looked smart,Brooks gave me book smart and not street smart.

The kind that would buy drugs off a guy on the corner without doing his research.Little did he know that the guy in the corner was a cop waiting for him.

"Hell yea trust me this bar is old as shit and doesn't card".

I nod my head as he parks his Porsche and we both get out.Brooks was old money from London.

Both of his parents were rich and he had a tech company to run when he graduated.Only he was under psychology and not computer science like his parents wanted.

I admired his way of doing what he wanted and saying no to his parents.I on the other hand could never do that.

I didn't want to look nothing but perfect in my parents eyes.Otherwise they would toss me to the side and focus on my sisters.

And both of my sister were equally as talented.

The pressure was on for me to do the best that I could.

We walk in the bar and I look around. It was slow alright.

We walk over to a booth and our waiter walks over."What can I get you?".

We both order a beer and the guy nods his head before walking away."See"Brooks whispers.

It was probably because I could pass off as a 21 year old if you looked at me.I played high school soccer my whole time.So I was bluff and I had an aged face as my Ma used to say.I looked 22 when I was only 18.

I shake my head and glance over at him."So a Carrington. You know your family has been here for generations".

"I am aware.I guess it is a lot of pressure but I'm always down for the pressure"I say.

He points at me and smiles."See I think that we are going to get along greatly".

I smile as waiter comes back with our drinks and we order food.I take a sip of my drink and stop mid-second sip when I hear clicks of heels.

I look behind Brooks towards the entrances. In comes the most divine woman that ever laid on earth.

"God damn"Our waiter says beside us.

"God damn indeed. What I would do for a piece of that"Brooks whispers to me.

I nod my head as the woman walks over to the bar.She sits down and order a craft beer before looking down at her phone.
