"What a great idea this was Jay"Lotus says smiling.

Jade smiles back as Saint glares at her."You know i have to help my girl out"."Glare at my wildflower and this knife is getting thrown to your shoulder"I warn Saint.

"So dark.Your sweet side is truly a facade"."I never said I was nice".

Jade scuffs and I roll my eyes.I take a bite of my food and Jade looks at Saint.

"Do you go to the same boxing club as Knox?".

I choke on my water as Lotus looks at us wide-eyed.Saint freezes and look at Jade.

"Uh..yea?".

Jade nods her head and Saint sits up."Why do you ask".

God damn.

"We recently ran into a ..member of the club.A girl".Lotus tilts her head and says "Is that right?".

"Yea she said that some Demetrius guy was looking for him".

Saint face shifts to a cold smile."Is that right?I didn't know you and the owner were still in contact".

"I didn't think it was any of your business"I say smiling back.

"That's crazy since we were the once's who brought you into the club"Lotus suggests looking at me with the same cold smile as her fiancee.

Great.They're are pissed.

Jades phone rings and she looks down."I'll be right back,it's my dad".

She gets up and walks away.The second she's out of sight,Saint slams his hand on the table and glares at me.

"Why the fuck would you still be in contact with him?He gave back Dads client already".

I sigh and say "That's because me and him made a deal"."And what deal is that?".

I frown and say "It's none of you business.I can handle himself".

I did not need them to know the dirt he had on me.No one needed to know what it was.

"Right.You know Knox I get shutting other people down.They don't understand us.But we..we are the same.If there was anything I would understand it would come from you.".

"I like boxing in his underground league".Lotus scuffs and says "Thats a load of bullshit".

I look at her shocked and frown."I like the boxing league.He offered me a good amount of money and oh look I got Uncles Client back".

"There is a way to things Knox.A way that doesn't involve you getting into it with a Russian mafia member".

"The window was getting smaller and smaller by the second.Neither of you had a plan so as I see it,I made the best decision"I explain.

Saint gives me a shocked look before leaning forward."Do you actually think he's going to let you go?".

"Oh he is.You think I haven't done my research?That I don't have dirt on him?You underestimate me".

Saint looks up to see Jade coming back over to us."I hope you know what the fuck you're doing".

"I know exactly what I'm doing".

Jade walks back over but she doesn't sit down."I have to go"."What?"I say shocked.

"Yea you barely finished your food"Lotus says.

"I know but my father needs my help with something".

I grunt as she grabs her stuff and turns to me."I'll text you?".

I nod my head as she kisses my forehead before walking out of the restaurant.

You ever went to a dinner you know is about to turn into shit?

Well let's just say that I'm here right now.My father was about to leave so Headmaster invited us out to dinner.

Me,my father and Professor Salim.Completely nothing wrong with that right?

I mean I was looking forward to my father and Professor meeting each other.Only Layla invited two more people.

Knox's parents.

That's right.The Banks Carrington and the Zoe Hassan.

The second they walked in and sat down beside Layla I knew that this was going to extremely awkward.

Im having dinner with my boyfriends parents who have no idea that we are dating.But then again this dinner interest me.

Knox turned out the way he did because of that incident but it was also because his parents didn't show him any love.

Thats what my job was now but I was curious on how they felt about their son."You must be my son's assistant professor"Banks says.

She holds her hand out and I say "Yes.Jade Phillips.Its nice to meet you Mrs.Carrington".

"Please call me Banks.Theres no need to be all formal".

"Call me Zoe.Its good to meet you again Jade"Mrs.Hassan says.

Well she was definitely a lot better than when we were at the hospital.

Banks turns to his wife and says"You met her before?"."At the hospital.She was there for Knox".

Banks tilts her head and says "He was in the hospital?".

Oh god.She's worst than I thought.

"He had a stomach virus"Zoe says.

Banks nods her head and says "I had a meeting that day.Its good you went".

Zoe frowns before nodding her head.

Layla turns to my father and says "Mr.Phillips.Can I say I'm a big fail of your paintings".

His eyes light up and he says "Really?You know I didn't think that someone would be?"."Oh yea.I actually have your..".

I tune them out as my father and headmaster engage in their own conversation.

Right now I was extremely uncomfortable with Banks just staring at me.Her blue eyes were analyzing me.

Did she know?No.No way.

There was no way that she knew about it.

"Does my son cause any trouble?".

Yes he does.
Making my heart flutter in every instance and makes it so much easier to fall in love with him?

"No.Not at all".

I pause and say "Maybe at first.But that's how most students are at the beginning of the year"."How old are you"Zoe blurts out.

I clear my throat and say "25".

Banks eyes go wide and she says "You're 25 years old and an assistant professor?".

Professor Salim joins in and says "Jade here is probably the best student I've had in years.Shes in her final year of graduate school while also in a teaching contract here".

"So when you graduate,you will teach at Callister?"Banks asks.

I nod my head and says "That's the plan".

"With you being so young and talented,I would have guessed you would go to a different university.Cambridge?Harvard?Yale?".

"I got offers from them but I would rather teach at my Alma mater.This college has made a huge impact in my life so I wanted to give back to it".

"What a nice thing to do"Banks says smiling.

Oh I think I softened her up.Not Zoe on the other hand.

She still looked at me with cautious eyes.This is going to be a long dinner.
