After breakfast I left Knox my apartment before giving him a key.I knew I would probably regret it but I needed to see my best friend.

So I met her at the bar as her and Artemis were talking.I wasn't fully ready to tell Artemis that I was dating her bestfriends younger brother.

But that..that would just have to be."J!"Kiera says happily.

We hug and sit down in the booth in the back."What have you been up to.I haven't seen you since like three days ago".

"Chilling at my house".

I smile softly and Artemis leans forward."You said you wanted to tell us something?"."Is there a new man in your life?"Kiera says wiggling her eyebrows.

"Yes actually".

Their eyes widen and I take a deepen before looking around."Promise to let me explain before you restart going crazy".

Kiera shrugs and says "He's of age and pretty mature for his age.So I say go for it.Of course you can't get caught"."Thats my bestfriend younger brother,!?"Artemis says shocked.

I look at her sadly and she sighs."Hiding this from Astrid will be hard for me but I promise I won't say a word".

"Wait really"."I'm just shocked that you actually went for it.I could see the chemistry between the two of you.So let's just say that I approved of it.I won't say a single thing to Astrid until you're ready".

I smile softly as I see Knox and Saint walk into the bar.Only they both look pissed about something.

He doesn't notice us as he sits down in the booth in front of us."Speaking of your little boo".

"So does that mean you 'two are in?"Lotus asks.

I stop eavesdropping and turn to Artemis."Enoguh about me,what about you ?"."I'm glad you asked".

Saint holds his eye and says"I swear to god one of them punched me in eye socket so hard and thought it fell out".

I roll MY eyes and say "At least one of them didn't try to choke you out using a hanger.I was in the parking lot!?!How the fuck did he find a hanger?!?".

"Well it was a test and both of you passed that's all that matters"Lotus says.

I nod my head and she leans forward."So what's next?".

"He will probably call us and want to meet.And just like that ,we are back in the crew.We get to find out where the son is in the organization.Is he the right hand?One of the underlings?This is what we find out".

"Why do I feel like you have done this before".

"Really?No.I didn't.Im just familiar with tactical strategy.Manipulation and threats are my favorite".

"You really are a Carrington"Lotus says shocked.

I shrug and glance ahead of me.Jade's back was to me but I knew that blonde hair from anywhere.My phone buzzes and I look down.
