Ayesha and her friends were sitting in a bar. Rounds of drinks were going on. Ayesha was a non-drinker so she was happy with her Virgin Sangria.

Ayesha had been observing Rhythm, one of their friends, since quite a few minutes now. She seemed pissed about something.

“Oyee Rhythm? You okay?”

Rhythm sighed in exasperation in return, as if waiting for someone to ask her that and gritted out.

“No! No, I'm not! And you know why? Because apparently, my daddy dearest has found me a match. And I'm sure he's found another man like himself. Another controlling and dominating jerk. He didn't even ask me before fixing my marriage. Can you believe that?”

All of them were shocked. Rhythm was the most grounded person in the whole group. But she seemed too pissed right now.

“Marriage? Kiske saath?”

Pratyush asked and she made another irritated face.

“I don't know the guy's name. But he is the son of a businessman. Why am I not surprised?”

“Kaunsa businessman?”

Kritika asked and Rhythm rolled her eyes.

“I don't know. Some businessman names Kushwant Rai. His son. But you know what? I'm not going to marry him.”

She declared and all of them knew how impossible that statement was. Rhythm had never been able to counter any of her father's decisions. She feared him too much.

“And how exactly do you plan to do that? Apne daddy dearest se kahogi?”

Krunal teased and she gave him a side eye. Ayesha was enjoying all the drama unfold.

“I have an amazing plan. I'm going to make those people deny the marriage. And you know how?”

She stopped with a wide, mischievous grin on her face to maintain mystery. All of them leaned forward to listen to her plan.

“I'm going to find the hottest man from this place and take him to bed. You know how businessmen are. They never want a tainted woman, although all of them want to taint all present in a room.”

With another roll of her eyes she sat back relaxed as if she hadn't given the rest of them a shock.

“Rhythm? Tera dimag kharab hai? Ek shaadi tudwane ke liye, aise kisi ke saath soyegi tu?”

“Arre sona thodi na hai. Bas pretend krna hai. And then, BOOM! My plan will succeed.”

All of them looked at each and other and then started clapping making her giggle and boast.

“I think you might have a potential candidate for it.”

Pratyush said and Rhythm cringed.

“Please tell me you're not talking about yourself.”

“I'm offended, but no. There's a man exactly 90° to your right. He's been looking at you since a long time now. And it's looks like he's hungry. For you.”

All of them turned to look at the man Pratyush pointed at and truly he was looking at Rhythm with a hungry gaze. And it seemed like the hunger was reciprocated because Rhythm couldn't seem to avert her gaze from him too.

Ayesha knew the man and he was handsome no doubt. She would have set her eyes on him if she already didn't have hers on a certain black haired and brown eyed someone.

The man with whom Rhythm was having a gazing competition with took a gulp from his drink and then leaned back parting his knees as if creating space for her to fit on his lap.

“Ooohhhh! Seems like he's inviting you Rhythm.”

Kritika squealed.

“Really?”

Rhythm asked distracted.

“Yes! And we think you should be bold and go.”

“You're right!”

With that she got up and actually walked to that guy. She leaned in and whispered something in his ear which made his jaw tick. He kept his drink aside, put a good amount of money on the counter and got up.

He towered over their short friend, pulled her closer by her waist and whispered something in her ear in return.

They could see the guy's smirk even from a distance as he held her hand and started walking towards the private rooms of the bar.

“Guys! I think we should interfere. What if he's dangerous.”

Kritika spoke genuinely worried for Rhythm making the rest of them snicker.

“Poor girl! Doesn't even know ki jis insaan ke saath gyi hai wo wahi hai jisse bhaagna chah rhi thi.”

Krunal said making Kritika confused.

“Relax Krits! That guy's her alleged fiance. Vikrant Rai. Kushwant Rai's only son.”

Kritika looked at them wide eyed and then all of them burst out laughing.

“That's so Wattpad coded! Mujhe bhi aisa kuch chahiye!”

She pouted making them chuckle.

“Waise Ayesha? What your type?”

Pratyush asked and she smiled sassily.

“Ayesha Khandelwal ki nazre rok ske aisa koi nhi hai yaha.”

“I disagree! A very handsome young man just walked in. And I'm sure he has the potential ki teri nazre uspar rok ske.”

Kritika teased and Ayesha shook her head.

“Ummhmm! No chance!”

“Is it? Turn around and look for yourself.”

Ayesha did and was shocked to see him. Abhijay. What was he doing at this place? Who was he here for? Something settled in her chest when his gaze landed on hers and he stopped searching. He walked towards her and she felt her breath hitch. He was here for her.

Before he could approach them, Ayesha took off and walked towards him, meeting him midway.

“What are you doing here?”

She spoke in the rude tone she used with him.

“I'm asked to pick you up and get you home safe.”

She gave him an incredulous look.

“Pick me up? Huh? Aise? Club ke kapdo mai?”

She saw his nostrils flare in anger and she knew her mother did something.

“Sir asked me to bring you home and mam didn't want me to embarrass you, so I had to get dressed.”

Why did her mother have to demean him everytime. He too was a human for God's sake.

“I'm not a baby! Mai khud ghar aa skti hu. You can leave.”
