Abhijeet looked at her with desire floating in his eyes. He was so painfully hard that it felt difficult to breathe.

He recalled something and the expressions on his face changed. He pulled his tshirt over his head and covered her with it. She frowned at his move and looked at him with questions and vulnerability in her eyes.

‘Did he not like what she did? Was her body not exciting enough for him? She knew her breasts weren't the size that men usually preferred. But they weren't too small either.’

Abhijeet cursed himself and pulled her on his lap when he saw all those vulnerable questions in her eyes.

“I love you so fucking much!”

He whispered in her ear. She could feel how stiff he was in his pyjamas. Then why did he stop? Before could ask, he continued.

“I can't - I can't do this. I can’t break your father's trust.”

Ok? Where did her father come from between?

“You know what he asked me before we left from your place? He asked me to take care of you. Ki wo mujhpr bharosa krke tumhe bhej rhe hai hamare saath. I can't break that trust Anya. He might never get to know what happens on this trip. And I don't want to take advantage of that. I just can't.”

She felt tears clog her throat. She pulled back slightly to meet his eyes and cupped his face and whispered.

“What did I do to deserve you?”

He smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear.

“You existed. You don't have to do anything special Anya. You deserve all the happiness in world just for being here. It's me who doesn't deserve you. I have so so many flaws.”

She wanted to kiss the living daylights out of him. Which she did by the way and then whispered against his lips.

“I am sitting on your lap, wearing practically nothing, alone in a room with you. I can feel how painfully turned on you are. And you're still controlling yourself because of a promise you made to my father. And you think you don't deserve me. I don't know who else deserves me then Jeet. But I don't want anyone else. Just you, always! I love you so much.”

She whispered and he kissed her forehead before joining it with hers.

Time slipped by like sand in an hourglass. It felt like yesterday when Abhijeet and the others announced their results. And today, Anya and the rest of the squad’s results were being announced.

She was at Abhijeet's place. He was continuously refreshing the site. The result would be out any minute.

“I can't do this. I can't do this Jeet! What if-what if the result is not good? What if I am not able to clear it? How will I ever face papa? Unhone itni umeedein lagayi hai mujhse. Kaise puri krungi mai saari?-”

Abhijeet looked at her to see her panicking.

“Ok! You're freaking out. Aashu! Keep refreshing the site ok. Kuch aaye toh mujhe batana.”

He instructed his sister who nodded seriously at being given the responsibility. Anya was still pacing around. Abhijeet clutched her arm and cupped her face, bringing his lips down on hers, cutting her off her panicky speech.

She panted when he pulled back and slumped against him.

“I am scared Jeet.”

She confessed in a small voice.

“Its ok to be. I too was. And I'm here with you. Papa too is. He'd be happy with whatever you do Anya. Just be happy baby.”

She was about to say something when they heard his sister's voice.

“Bhaiyu? Kuch toh aaya hai.”

Abhijeet looked behind with Anya still in his arms and frowned.

“Your result is here Anya.”

“WHAT? Itni jaldi kaise? Abhi-abhi toh time tha na? How did-mai nhi dekh paaungi. Jeet, just look at the result and tell me. Actually agar nhi hua hoga clear toh kuch mat kehna. I'll understand.”

She turned her back to him and he searched for her result. Anya closed her eyes muttering prayers. She felt him hug her from behind and waited for him to say something. But when he didn't she slumped against him and a sob escaped her lips.

She failed her father. She failed everyone who'd invested their time, money and energy in her.

“Why are you crying? Smile Justice Garg!”

Her eyes snapped to his with the speed of lightning. Her teary eyes met his sparkling ones. He was too happy.

“I-what?”

She whispered. Did she mishear him? Was her brain playing tricks on her.

She got out of his arms and went to check the results. He wasn't joking. She passed the exams. She did it. She cleared judiciary. She choked back a sob and turned to face him.

“I-I did it!”

“You did. You did baby.”

She ran into his arms and he hoisted her up, kissing her head. He put her down after a few minutes and cupped her face.

“Congratulations!”

They heard his little sister's voice and Anya bent down to kiss her cheek.

“Thank you mera bacha.”

The girl giggled happily and ran out of the room.

“Papa would be so happy. I'll go tell him.”

Anya chuckled in happiness and started to walk out but Abhijeet held her hand and pulled her back.

“Ask him if it's ok for me to come for dinner.”

“What do I need to ask him? Wo haan hi bolenge Jeet.”

He smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear.

“You have to ask because I am not meeting him as your friend this time. Now that we've both achieved our goals, I can't wait anymore.”

With that he bent on his knee and pulled out a ring. She gasped and he asked.

“Will you marry me Anya?”

She cupped her mouth and tears fell from her eyes.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!”

She whispered over and over while sitting on her knees too and he slid the ring in her finger.

He pecked her lips and she hugged him tight.
