"What did the doctor say?" Luke asked me when I sat down on the couch next to him

"What did the doctor say?" Luke asked me when I sat down on the couch next to him. I grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bowl on his lap and popped it in my mouth. "The pup is fine. We can expect him at the end of March or early April."

"3 more weeks. What about Olivia?"

"She is good, she is staying tonight at my parents place. They are having a girls night. Dad escaped and is with your dad and Eric."

Stefan came in with David, Tim and Jason that went with him on border patrol, "everything alright out here?" Luke asked.

"Yeah, everything is secure. The first night shift took over."

"Anyone feels like going to the pub? Mike asked if we would come?" Jason asked.

I looked at the others and shrugged "fine by me. Not too long though, a couple of beers and then I'm off."

Luke clapped my back "right man, like last time," he chuckled. "I'm in, I'll let the patrol and guards know."

We all walked towards the only pub in town '@Mike's' most of the time half the town is here. Or at least the part that was a part of our pack. We could hear the music the closer we came. When we entered the pub was bussing, the warmth of too many people in the same spot was almost suffocating. Some were dancing, others chatting, some playing a game off pool. Mike waved at us when he saw us, and we walked through the crowd towards the bar.

"Busy today," I said when I reached him.

He smiled and nodded, "I think my new waitress is responsible for that. Beer for all of you?"

We nodded and I looked around, "who is the new waitress?"

"The new girl Nell. Julia brought her in, she was bored, and I gave her a couple of hours to help."

"Good evening boys, what can I serve you?" Nell's sweet melodic voice reached us, her smile widening seeing us. I'm still not over the fact of her not having a scent, she is the only one in town that could sneak up to us, a wolf. If she can be quiet that is. "Please ask for some beers. Mike taught me how to tap it, I need a bit more practice," she smiled brightly at us and even winked at the end.

"5 beers love," Jason answered and smiled at her. Ever since she arrived, he didn't hide how much he admirated her. He turned 18 at the beginning of this year and hadn't found his mate yet.

"Stop flirting with my staff brother," Mike growled under his breath at Jason.

"Hi Jason, coming right up!" she stopped for a moment and looked bummed, "I'm sorry Jason, you aren't 21 yet. Would you like something else?" she asked while she squeezed his hand to let him know how sorry she was. He mumbled under his breath but ordered a juice instead.

'She doesn't know Jason, but for now we keep it that way.' I linked him.

'I really wanted a beer.'
