"Maybe we should let her stay in our guestroom instead of the guesthouse," I suggested when Nell stepped outside to talk to her mother.

"Mom, I understand where you are coming from, but it will be hard to keep everything a secret," Joshua said with a frown on his face.

"I know but she needs this, I think. She doesn't need to be all alone in that house," I said.

"We could just tell her; it would be so much easier," Max said while he squeezed Shawn's hand. I know how much my boy hates it to lie to her about everything. He doesn't like secrets, never did. Knowing him he probably didn't tell her much about us so that he didn't need to lie.

"You know we can't Max, not until she turns out to be a mate to one of us," Julia said.

"How cool would that be, popstar Nelly mated to a wolf off our pack," Alana said probably already thinking about all the unmated boys and men in our pack. Alana loves to bring mates together. Like she did for her brother. It was her that found Joshua's mate Olivia. One day, as a freshman, she came home from school and brought Olivia, a senior, with her claiming she needed to be tutored in math while she absolutely doesn't needed it. During dinner she mentioned how well Olivia would fit in our family. When Joshua entered the house— well he found his mate.

"I will talk about it later with Nicolas, but I think you are right Rosie. It would be good for her if she stayed with us. She needs a home, she's been on the road for so long. My only concern is her scent—," Nathan shook his head.

"It's strange uh," Max said.

"Why is it strange?" Shawn asked with furrowed eyebrows, already ready to defend his best friend. I smiled at him; he is absolutely perfect for our son.

"Everyone human, wolf, witch or vampire has a scent. We all scent the honey surrounding you. I, as your mate, also smell mint. But with her— nothing."

"It's like she doesn't has her own unique scent. Everyone has his own unique scent," Joshua explained.

"What medication is she taking?" Nathan asked Shawn and Max.

"Insulin, she is diabetic. Every couple of days she needs to take a shot," Shawn said.

"We can ask the pack doctor for that. I talk with Nicolas about letting her stay with us." Nathan stood up, took his plate, and kissed me on the head, "thanks for lunch, see you tonight. Are you coming Joshua?"

"Yes dad."

The twins and Max tried to sneak out, but I cleared my throat, "dishes first." They all groaned but followed me to the kitchen. "Shawn, you don't have too, you are a guest."

"I don't mind Rose."

Nelly came back in the kitchen and seeing her red trimmed eyes, she had clearly cried. My mother heart reached out to her, but I didn't want to overstep it. "How did it go?" Shawn asked her.
