A helpless brothers predicament

Escape attempt

Sonic frantically pushed through the shrubbery as he limped through the woods, he had gotten shot at but thankfully it only grazed his leg, though it was still deep enough that he limped in pain. He looked back noticing lights shining through the night as he hurried through the woods, it was dark and he could barely see but he was desperate to get away, ignoring the pain in his leg he picked up his pace and pushed by trees and bushes, he tripped on rocks and roots unable to see very well in the dark but he pressed on pain and all.

Quickly he dived behind a boulder and hid there trying to control his rapid breathing, he pressed against the rock and quieted himself the best he could as the robots flew by shining their lights trying to find him, he stayed there for a moment longer before running in the opposite direction, he looked back as he ran and it seemed to be working till one turned and saw him running the other way, and the robot alerted the others.

Panic spiked in him and he tried to go faster, he kept running till he tripped on a bigger root causing him to crash to the ground, quickly he struggled to get back up and he ran forward but stumbled from the sudden movement and bumped into a tree, he winced and hurried forward as all the robots turned to continue chasing him.

He ran as fast as he could till he tripped again this time his hands and knees dug into the dirt and some got into his injury, he hissed in pain but quickly stood up again and he put his hand on his injury in pain, but the sound of robots clanking metal and engines roaring as they flew got terribly closer he panicked and went off running again.

But the panic didn't help his situation any as he stumbled a lot more, soon he burst out of the woods and into the park, he ran through the grassy meadow and looked back to see they were gaining on him, frantic he went even faster and zipped through the park but they didn't stop and the lights kept flashing on him as he ran away.

A minute later right as he neared the street someone came out from behind a tree he was about to run by and punched him hard in the stomach causing him to fly backwards onto the air and he landed with a thud a distance away. He grimaced in pain and slowly rolled off his side then pushed himself to his hands and knees.

He stared at the ground for a second, a hand on his stomach as he gasped for air, he then slowly looked over to see a figure walking towards him, he froze unsure what to do as the figure got closer till he was in front of him, he then realized it was infinite, Sonic pinned his ears and lunged up at infinite but he simply grabbed Sonics neck and held him out so he couldn't do much as he slowly began to choke.

"You are a hard one to catch, and determined I'll give you that," infinite said. "But it was pointless to run since you are now returning to the place you ran from."

"N-no!" Sonic blurted out, struggling to get free. "You'll never take me alive!"

"A shame you think that," infinite said tauntingly. "You see you are of no use to us dead, so alive is the only way we will take you."

"Then kill me!" Sonic shouted, a pained tear forming.

"That is not an option." Infinite replied calmly.

Sonic winced as the grip got tighter and slowly he stopped struggling as his eyes drifted shut. Infinite then let go of him and he fell unconscious to the ground.
