Sonic walked through the halls, all the lights were either off or flickering so he could only see a bit of where he was going, he continued walking till he made it to the testing room, he slowly went past the doorway and stopped a little ways in, it was completely dark and he couldn't see a thing. He looked closer and waited for second till the lights suddenly flickered on and there laying on the floor was Silver, quickly he ran to him and rolled him over onto his back, Sonic gasped and backed away staring down at the largish hole in Silvers chest, he lay there staring up at Sonic with a blank expression his fur bloody and stained from the pool he lay in, Sonic backed away more till he spotted Shadow on top the computers large keyboard area, only his top half lay out on the keyboard and his bottom half was limp over the side of the counter, Sonic then noticed Shadow was stuck there unable to fall onto the ground because of a thinish sharp pole sticking out of his back and stuck into the keyboard pinning him there.
Sonic froze and looked at both of them for a moment before a fire started in the room and cut him off from the two, he frantically backed away then ran out of the room and the fire spread faster and faster, he ran out of the room and down the halls but he tripped on something and got his foot caught in some wire, panicking he tried to get the wire off as the fiery explosion came down the same hall. He frantically tugged and pulled at the wire desperate to get away but it was too late as the fire burst at him, he put up his arm to protect his face and closed his eyes tight as the explosion came at him.
"Ah!" Sonic cried out, sitting up in his bed and looking around frantically.
quickly he pulled his legs up to his chest, and started to rock himself back and forth.
"Just a dream.. It's not real.." Sonic whispered to himself.
"Sonic? What happened?" Silver asked, concerned.
Sonic didn't respond; he just continued to rock back and forth.
"Sonic!" Shadow shouted, and shook him slightly trying to get his attention.
Sonic suddenly snapped out of it and slowly turned his head to look at them, he saw them both kneeling next to him and he couldn't seem to control himself as tears streamed from his eyes.
"S-Shadow.." Sonic mumbled. "S-ilver..?"
"Sonic what is wro-" Silver started but was cut off by Sonic lunging at them wrapping his arms around the two.
"I.. I thought you were gone.." Sonic cried. "An attack.. Dead.. explosion." he tried to explain as tears stung his eyes. "..I-I didn't know what to do! You both were.. were.. dead.."
"It was only a nightmare Sonic." Shadow said, pulling away from the embrace.
"It felt.. S-so real.." Sonic murmured, looking down at his hands before hugging himself.
Silver and Shadow looked at each other for a minute before looking back at Sonic who had his eyes closed as tears slipped down his cheeks, he was shivering violently and couldn't seem to keep himself calm.
"I-I.. can't lose you two.." Sonic mumbled, looking back up at them.
"Hey, you never will." Silver assured him. "We are brothers and will never abandon each other, we will stick together till the end."
Sonic looked down for a second as a few more tears fell.
"Yes, brothers forever." Shadow agreed.
Sonic sniffed and looked back at them. "Brothers." He smiled slightly, ignoring his tear stained face.
Without another word all three wrapped their arms around each other in a brotherly embrace.
