A helpless brothers predicament

Nightmare

Sonic ran as fast as he could but something grabbed his ankle and he crashed to the ground, frantically he looked at his foot and found the same glowing wire slowly wrapping around his leg, he quickly reached down to get it off but another burst from the darkness and grabbed his other leg, panicked he clawed att the ground trying to pull away but another grabbed his left arm and pulled it back, he continued to pull but another took hold of his right arm and pulled it back as well, with tears in his eyes he continued pulling even with all his limbs trapped, he tugged and pulled desperately trying to get away as he was pulled backwards, he used as much strength he could muster and pulled his arms ahead of him and clawed again at the pitch black ground.

Suddenly a larger glowing wire wrapped around his chest and tightened hard along with the others, he cried out in pain but no one was around all he could see was darkness surrounding him, slowly the wires moved further up his arms and legs and constricted tighter shining a deeper blue color as it slowly drained him of all his energy, the one around his chest wrapped tighter than the rest making it increasingly harder to breathe soon he stopped struggling and he slowly went limp on the ground, unable to fight as the wires drained every last bit of energy and power he had, he winced as they constricted as tight as they could and slowly he was lifted off the ground and limply he watched as he was pulled towards a tangled mess of wires that formed into a mouth with sharp jagged teeth, he tried to get his body to respond and get away but he didn't have the energy to do anything as he was pulled towards the gaping mouth. He stared down at the glowing blue wire trap and the wires that held him suddenly released and he fell down into the hungry and glowing wire mouth, he kept falling the very last bit of his energy slipping from him as he fell.

Sonic suddenly jerked awake with a terrified scream, he grabbed ahold of the couch and gasped in a few quick breaths as he freaked out, frantically he looked around trying to find the energy suckers but they were nowhere in sight, he tried his hardest to calm down but the feeling of the dream remained and made him think they were still draining him of his last bit of energy. He continued breathing quick but it quickly turned to coughing and he hissed in pain, his chest feeling like it was on fire, he clenched his jaw and arched his back slightly, his whole body tensing up in fear and pain.

"Sonic!" someone called, running up to him.

Sonic ignored whoever it was because he was having a hard time breathing right as his body continued to freak out, he couldn't get control of himself as pain started to escalate in him. He heard something going on around him but couldn't focus on it, he just continued to struggle to stay calm but didn't succeed. Suddenly he felt someone gently grab ahold of his hand, and he winced in pain from someone else putting a hand on his chest to see what was wrong.

A minute later Sonic started to regain his senses and he heard calming words from familiar voices, slowly he opened his eyes that were closed mostly through it and he slowly looked over at Silver who was standing on his knees next to Sonic a hand on his arm trying to calm him down, and Shadow stood next to them worriedly and intently watching him.
Sonic's breathing slowed and his body slowly relaxed as he calmed down, but his eyes were filled with tears that streamed down his face, and he stared at them with a fearful expression.

"It's alright Sonic, it's over now.." Silver soothed, giving him a reassuring look. "Just calm down."

Sonic took a deep breath and looked back at them. "Y-y-ou.. S-s-u-re?" Sonic asked, his voice strained and shaky.

"Yes, no one will hurt you again." Silver promised.

"They will pay for this.." Shadow growled.

Sonic smiled at them, appreciating their help.

Tails watched quietly from the sidelines unsure what they were talking about but it was interesting to try and figure it out.
