A helpless brothers predicament

Do they like taking their time?" Infinite asked, crossing his arms.

"They will find him sooner or later." Eggman said, typing on his large computer.

"And when they do, we will destroy their blue brother in the most painful way possible." Infinite nodded.

"It would be something exciting to watch." Mephiles agreed.

"Make him suffer." Infinite said evilly.

"Do whatever you want but we need to focus and get the other two first." Eggman snapped, looking over at the two.

The two nodded in agreement.

"Ah, there they are now." Eggman said, looking at a security camera.

And sure enough there was Shadow and Silver running through the halls together trying to locate Sonic.

Shadow and Silver hurried around the building looking for their lost brother and soon they came across a door that seemed to pull at them but something was off about it.

"I don't trust it.." Silver admitted in a whisper.

"Neither do I, let's go." Shadow agreed, turning to continue down the hall.

They both shook off the thought of that door and headed down the hall, and soon after they heard something coming from behind another door and they stopped abruptly. They headed over to it and Silver pressed his ear up against the door, he heard a clanking of metal and someone sounding quite irritated.

Silver turned to look behind him and nodded at Shadow who nodded in return and skated off. A few minutes later he returned with a key and they quickly unlocked the door, they looked inside the cell and there laying on the floor beaten and tired was Sonic who looked very frustrated, and the two realized why for there on his ankle was a chain that was attached to the wall behind him, he looked like he was trying to reach the door before he fell so he spotted the two almost immediately and his expression changed into panic. The two slowly walked towards him but Sonic sat up and held out his hands desperately.

"Stay back! Get out!" Sonic cried out, panicked by something. "Leave me!"

The two exchanged glances before shaking their heads and walked up to him.

"P-please.." Sonic pleaded, setting his hands on the ground in front of him and staring down at the floor as tears slipped down his cheeks.

"No, we came to get you out of here and that's what we are going to do." Silver snapped, grabbing his hands and lifting him up as Shadow unlocked the chain. "We would never leave you behind."

Sonic grimaced in pain and sadness as he was pulled up to his feet. "Y-you don't understand.." he cried, pulling away from him. "I heard you talking to Tails.. I came willingly to prove I could do it but I-I.. failed and they only kept me alive so I could be bait to get you two here." He backed up but tripped over his own feet and fell backwards.

Shadow quickly caught Sonic just in time and looked up at Silver.

"I-I'm so sorry.." Sonic whimpered, looking away.

Shadow pulled Sonic back up and steadied him so he wouldn't fall down again.

"It's not your fault Sonic," Silver said, helping to support their weakened brother. "It was just a misunderstanding."

The three then walked down the hall, Shadow and Silver on each side of Sonic keeping him from falling as they walked.

"So you decided to come back?" Someone asked from behind.

They halted and turned to see Mephiles standing there in the middle of the hall.

"We had no choice." Silver snapped.

"Well maybe you didn't but your little brother did." Mephiles said.

Sonic winced at that and stared at the floor.

"Yes, you put this on your own brothers." Mephiles said, noticing Sonic's pain from it. "Hardly what I would call a brother."

Sonic pinned his ears and closed his eyes, pained by those words he knew were true.

Shadow was furious at Mephiles for talking to his brother like that, he let go of Sonic's arm and had Silver hold him up he then turned to Mephiles and walked towards him ready to fight.

"I will kill you for what you did to him." Shadow growled, walking up to him.

"Bring it if you can." Mephiles dared.

Shadow pinned his ears and attacked Mephiles.

"What a pitiful little family." Someone else said from behind where Silver and Sonic stood.

They turned to see Infinite floating towards them.

Silver sighed and set Sonic next to the wall then walked over to face Infinite.

Sonic sat from the sidelines and watched his brothers fight, they were taking a beating but wouldn't give up. He tried to stay calm as fifteen long minutes passed just watching them fighting, it wasn't too hard to stay put till both of his brothers were knocked out of the fight, it would seem that Mephiles and Infinite weren't playing around this time. Sonic slowly stood up leaning against the wall and turned his head to look at Shadow who was pinned against the wall with Mephiles' hand around his throat, he pinned his ears and looked over at Silver who was on the ground with Infinites foot on his chest keeping him from getting up. 

With a sigh Sonic walked to the middle of the hall and looked from one villain to the other. "I wonder how long it would take to defeat two villains." Sonic thought aloud then smirked mischievously. "Probably less than a second, I mean hey they are weaklings after all."

Both Mephiles and Infinite looked over at Sonic, furious.

"Sonic.. don't do it." Silver warned.

"You're right I shouldn't talk to them that way after all babies are very sensitive."  Sonic said simply.

Suddenly Mephiles and Infinite flew at Sonic at the same time but the second right before they could touch him Sonic front flipped into the air, causing Mephiles and Infinite to crash into each other and fall to the ground dizzy from the collision. Sonic then landed off to the side of them and stared at them with a smirk playing across his face.

"Ha, knew you would fall for that." Sonic laughed.

Shadow and Silver then stood up and headed over to Sonic.

"How did you-" Silver started a shocked expression on his face.

"I fought them a few days ago." Sonic shrugged. "Figured out they can't really work together."

"No wonder you are in such bad shape." Shadow said, crossing his arms.

"Hey you didn't think I would go down without a fight did you?" Sonic asked.

Suddenly they heard an irritated groan and they quickly turned tail and ran down the hall not wanting to press their luck.

They ran through the halls till they made it outside but there was a fleet of robots waiting for them. They all looked the same but something about them seemed oddly familiar.

"I see you escaped them." Someone said.

The three looked up to see Eggman in his flying egg shaped transportation.

"They really aren't that hard to escape from." Sonic said, sounding a bit cocky.

"Well then escape my newest fleet of robots.. if you can." Eggman said with an evil smile.
