A helpless brothers predicament

Taunting

Sonic?" Silver asked, walking into the living room.
He looked around but Sonic was nowhere in sight.

"What's wrong?" Shadow asked, coming up to where Silver was standing.

"I can't find Sonic." Silver answered, sounding a bit worried. "You don't suppose..?"

"He has been spending too long trying to escape so of course he wouldn't go back." Shadow said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Maybe he is somewhere in town." Silver suggested.

"Let's go see." Shadow nodded, heading to the door.

"Is something the matter?" Tails asked.

"Sonic has disappeared.. again." Silver answered.

"I can help find him if you want." Tail said.

"Sure," Silver shrugged.

"Alright let's go." Tails smiled.

'I just hope he's alright.' Silver thought, heading out with the other two.

Sonic was thrown against the floor of the lab and he felt something crack, he gasped in a breath and slowly got to his knees as his left hand went up to his ribs.

"So you caught one of them?" A familiar voice asked.

Sonic ignored it for the moment though, being too caught up in an intense staring contest with Mephiles who seemed to be winning no thanks to his oddly colored eyes.

"Ah, the weakest of the pitiful bunch." Eggman said, walking up to them.

"I'm not the weakest!" Sonic snapped looked over at him.

But Sonic paused when he realized he lost the staring contest, he took a glance back at Mephiles who seemed quite pleased with the victory, and Sonic scowled at him obviously not impressed.

"Well someone has to be the weakling." Infinite stated.

"You're right!" Sonic exclaimed with a smile turning to look at him. "You are."

Infinite growled angrily but refrained from attacking.

"Course what is a weakling without its pet chicken?" Sonic asked, looking at Mephiles.

"Why you!" Mephiles growled, about to grab Sonic.

Sonic simply smiled pushing the taunt a bit further.

Mephiles grabbed Sonic by the arm and angrily yanked him to his feet.

"I could kill you right now if I wanted to!" Mephiles snarled, digging his claws into Sonic's arm.

"Are you even capable?" Sonic asked, ignoring the pain. "Maybe you should have someone else do it since you are just a baby."

Suddenly he was thrown back and he collided with the wall then fell to his side, slowly he got up and shook his head.

"Well I guess that throw was stronger then what Infinite could do." Sonic mused, looking over at them.

Infinite turned his head to look at him and he furiously flew at him, but Sonic didn't so much as flinch when Infinite grabbed his neck and lifted him a few feet off the ground.

Sonic was then thrown to the ground in front of Mephiles and Eggman, he landed with a thud and rolled a little bit before stopping right next to them.

"Now that is a shameful throw," Sonic said sitting up. "But not as bad as Mephiles."

Eggman backed away as both Infinite and Mephiles beat Sonic up, Sonic continuing to taunt them.

"Wow who taught you guys to fight?" Sonic asked, slowly getting to his feet.

Sonic was tired and had injuries that seeped blood but he ignored the pain and took a step forward only to stumble and fall to his knees, suddenly he felt someone grab his neck and he was lifted off the ground again, he stared at Mephiles for a minute hiding his pain and he let a taunting smirk play across his face.

Mephiles tightened the grip angrily then threw him towards Infinite who stood waiting, Sonic fell to the floor with another thud but he didn't even bother getting up, Infinite then grabbed his arm and yanked him up, he then pulled back his hand and punched Sonic in the face causing him to fall backward by the force of the blow.

Sonic slowly rolled over and got to his knees again, he then wiped the blood from the side of his mouth with the back of his hand, he knew the two were coming at him again but he ignored them as he began coughing.

"Now now you two cut it out, we can't kill him.. yet." Eggman said, stopping them from continuing.

Sonic coughed up some blood but he just let it drip from his mouth that remained open as he stared blankly at the floor, he was sure he would have been laying on the floor again by now if his hands weren't on the floor steadying him as he sat there on his knees.

"Fine.. but I will kill him." Infinite agreed reluctantly.

"I don't care as long as he dies after this." Mephiles agreed.

"When we have his brothers in custody do what you like with him." Eggman waved off.

Sonic pinned his ears and stared up at Eggman. "You will never get them." He snarled.

"I've seen how attached you three have become and that alone is going to be your downfall." Eggman said, staring at him.

"You will regret this!" Sonic shouted, lunging up at him but he was halted by a pair of hands pulling back on each of his arms.

"The only thing I regret is creating you!" Eggman snapped. "Take him away."

With that they dragged him away and chained him to the wall of the cell they then turned and left him there.

Sonic shook his head slightly but it caused his vision to blur and he collapsed to the ground more tired and beaten then he originally thought, slowly his eyes closed shut as he fell unconscious.
