A helpless brothers predicament

Over heard

Tails looked at the results of the test, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. With a sigh he walked out of the room to where Shadow and Silver were talking in the dining room.

"Did you figure it out?" Silver asked, looking over at Tails.

"Yeah." Tails nodded.

"What is wrong?" Shadow asked suspiciously.

"He has enough energy to function properly but without his own power he won't be able to run without any problems, so there isn't anything we can really do about it." Tails explained.

"You mean he will be stuck like that forever?" Silver demanded.

"Pretty much," Tails nodded. "Unless he can get his real power back."

Shadow and Silver exchanged glances before looking at Tails again.

"I don't think he can." Silver said, looking down.

Sonic watched them angered by what they were talking about. 'Can't? Or won't?' He thought with a small growl. 'They think I'm weak? I'll show them.' With that he snuck away from where they were talking in the dining room and snuck out the door, then ran through the town. 'I will get my power back and show them.. show them all!'

Sonic sped through the woods trying his best to keep from tripping or hitting things as he slowed down then sped up, he kept going for a while till he finally came to a stop near a clearing. 'What am I thinking! This is the worst idea ever! I spent my whole life trying to escape this place and now I'm trying to get back in?' Sonic thought to himself as he stood there staring at the building. 'I better get out of here before something happens..' he then slowly backed up but a kick of energy burst out and he zipped into the clearing and collided with the building, he then fell backward onto the ground and let out a small moan.

Dizzily he stood up and tried to get back into the woods but a robot landed right in front of him and it made the ground to shake a bit from the landing and Sonic fell to backward onto his bottom, he put a hand on his head and slowly looked up to see the robot reaching out for him. Sonic pinned his ears and leaped out of the way of the robots metal hand, he rolled a bit then jumped to his feet and turned to see the robot getting ready to attack, but once it moved at him he quickly dodged again and kicked the robot to the side.

He heard more coming and he quickly ran towards the woods but half way there he stopped abruptly and landed face first in the dirt, he slowly pushed himself up and shook his head. With a groan he got to his feet and tried again but it was just a normal person run till his speed burst out and he barely dodged a tree in time, he quickly ran but he again slowed and sped up but this time he crashed into a tree, he fell down with an irritated moan and he sat up, but he his ears pricked at the sound of a laugh.. an evil laugh. Panicked, he turned around to see Mephiles floating over to him.

"It was a mistake to return." Mephiles said, staring at him.

"It was a mistake to take my power!" Sonic snapped back, standing up straight and balling his hands into fists.

"What do we have here?" Someone said from a different side.

Sonic looked over and spotted Infinite flying towards them and stopped next to Mephiles.

"Looks like we found one of them, shame it's the weakling." Infinite said in mock pity.

"I'm not weak!" Sonic shouted angrily.

"Really?" Infinite tried. "prove it."

Sonic pinned his ears and lunged at infinite, he aimed a spin dash but infinite moved aside and kicked him over to Mephiles, and Mephiles simply grabbed him mid air effectively stopping his spin attack he then threw Sonic hard to the ground. Sonic hit the ground hard and untucked, he put his hand on his head and shook it slightly trying to get rid of the dizziness.

"Pitiful." Mephiles said, shaking his head.

Sonic growled at that and lunged at Mephiles, but Mephiles reached out a hand to send a killing shock wave at Sonic, but Infinite used his ability and in a blink of an eye he was right next to Sonic and he quickly pulled him away just in time as the deadly shock wave blasted out of Mephiles' hand.

"Why did you do that?" Mephiles demanded, once he realized he didn't hit his target.

"He is still of some use to us." Infinite answered, irritated.

Mephiles flew up to them and stared at Sonic who was being held by his ankle.

"Let me go!" Sonic cried out, not liking the fact that the blood was rushing to his head.

Sonic pulled his top half up to try and attack Infinites hand that held his leg, but Infinite simply let go of him and Sonic fell through the air and landed on his back onto the ground below.

"Ow.." Sonic muttered, rolling over onto his hands and knees.

He heard the two laughing and it irritated him, slowly he got to his feet and in a second he had a rock in hand and he threw it at them, but Mephiles simply grabbed it and tossed it over his shoulder.

Sonic crossed his arms over his chest. "That's pathetic." Sonic smirked mischievously, looking up at them. "I could have done that a hundred times faster."

The two balled their hands into fists and flew at Sonic, but Sonic ran off only to find himself back in the clearing again, he tried to stop but his speed burst out again and he crashed into the building once again. Suddenly Mephiles and Infinite were right in front of him and he frantically backed away only to bump into the wall.

"You shouldn't have come back." Infinite said, grabbing Sonic by the neck and flying away with Mephiles right behind.
