The Fourth Prince glanced at Dunk, a playful glint in his eyes.
Fourth Prince: "So, you fell in love with the Crown Prince?"
Dunk blushed a little, looking down. "Yes."
The Fourth Prince ruffled his brother's hair, his smile widening. "Does he know about this?"
Dunk shook his head. "I left."
Fourth Prince's expression turned confused. "Why? Don't you like him?"
Dunk sighed, hesitating before speaking. "It's not that. I just feel that the person he likes is Daonuea and not me."
The Fourth Prince smiled gently, understanding dawning in his eyes.
Fourth Prince: "Dunk. The heart knows what it wants. Whether you're Daonuea or Dunk, it's still you. Give him a chance to understand that."
Dunk looked up, his brother's words offering a glimmer of hope. "Do you really think so?"
Fourth Prince: "I do. Love transcends identities and past lives. Trust in your bond with Joong, and everything else will fall into place."
Dunk nodded slowly, feeling a renewed sense of courage. "Thank you, brother. I needed to hear that."
Fourth Prince: "Anytime, Dunk. Now, let's get you some proper rest. You've been through a lot."
Dunk smiled gratefully, feeling lighter than he had in days. "Yes, I think I could use some rest."
As the Fourth Prince helped Dunk settle back into bed, Dunk's thoughts turned to Joong, his heart beating a little faster with the promise of what the future might hold.
Joong's heart raced as he entered his chamber the next day, only to find a wilted Nightmare Nectarum and no sign of Dunk. Panic surged through him like a tidal wave, his mind racing with a thousand possibilities.
Rushing over to where the flower lay, Joong knelt beside it, his hands trembling as he reached out to touch its shriveled petals. The sight of the flower in such a state sent a chill down his spine, filling him with a deep sense of foreboding.
"Dunk," Joong whispered, his voice barely audible in the silent chamber. Fear clenched his heart as he realized that Dunk was nowhere to be found. Thoughts of what could have happened to him flooded Joong's mind, each one more terrifying than the last.
Frantically, Joong searched every corner of his chamber, hoping against hope to find some clue as to where Dunk might have gone. But the room remained empty, the only sound echoing through the air the frantic beating of his own heart.
Desperation clawed at Joong's chest as he realized that Dunk was gone, and he had no idea where to even begin looking for him. With a heavy heart, Joong sank to his knees, overwhelmed by a sense of loss and helplessness.
"Dunk," he whispered again, his voice filled with anguish. "Where are you?"
As Joong sat there in his chamber, a whirlwind of emotions consumed him. Guilt gnawed at his conscience, knowing that Dunk's disappearance was somehow connected to their last encounter. He replayed their conversation in his mind, searching for clues, but found only regret and uncertainty.
"I should have been there for him," Joong murmured, his voice laced with self-reproach. "I should have told him the truth."
His mind raced with possibilities, each one more terrifying than the last. What if Dunk was hurt? What if he was in danger? The mere thought sent a shiver down Joong's spine, his stomach churning with worry.
Summoning his resolve, Joong knew he had to act. With determination in his heart, he rose to his feet and began to plan his next move. He would search every corner of the kingdom if he had to, but he would find Dunk and bring him back safely.
