Joong moved to a secluded corner of the cottage, his mind racing with worry, and summoned Pond. Pond appeared, rubbing his eyes with a yawn.
Pond: "What is it, your highness?"
Joong took the pot in his hand and held it out for Pond to see. Pond's eyes immediately shot wide open in shock.
Pond: "Night...Night...Night..."
Joong finished the words for him.
Joong: "Nightmare Nectarum."
Pond took hold of the pot carefully, examining it with furrowed brows.
Pond: "No way! Where did you find it?"
Joong: "Daonuea found it in the forest."
Pond: "The mortal found it?!"
Joong nodded grimly.
Joong: "I already cast a barrier around it, but Daonuea still suffered from a nightmare."
Pond's expression turned grave as he considered the implications.
Pond: "Joong, this flower is dangerous to a mortal. It's better if we get rid of it immediately."
Their conversation was abruptly cut short by a distress call from Daonuea.
Daonuea: "Joong? Joong?"
Joong's heart clenched with worry.
Joong: "I have to go, Pond. Can you help me find out more about this flower?"
Pond nodded, his expression serious.
Pond: "No worries, my friend. Leave it to me."
With a determined nod, Joong hurried back to Daonuea's side, leaving Pond to delve into the mysteries of Nightmare Nectarum.
Joong rushed back to Daonuea's side, his heart heavy with confusion and worry. He had already cast a sleeping spell on Daonuea; he should have been fast asleep. Why did he wake up again?Daonuea clutched Joong's arm tightly, his eyes wide with fear.
Daonuea: "Joong? Joong?"
Joong tried to soothe Daonuea back to sleep, but the nightmares persisted. For the next few days, Daonuea would often be awakened by terrible dreams in the middle of the night. He also suffered from frequent headaches and disturbing flashbacks.
As the days passed, Daonuea's health deteriorated. He grew paler by the day, his strength waning with each passing moment. Joong sat by Daonuea's bedside, his heart heavy with worry as he watched helplessly.
Daonuea managed a weak smile, his hand trembling as he reached out to brush away the furrowed lines on Joong's brow.
Daonuea: "Joong, don't frown. You don't look good when you frown."
Despite the pain etched on his features, Joong managed to return Daonuea's smile, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. He grasped Daonuea's hand tightly, his voice thick with emotion.
Joong: "Alright, I won't frown."
Their hands remained intertwined, a silent promise of unwavering support and love in the face of adversity.
Eventually, he fell into a deep slumber from which he could not be roused. Joong was beside himself with worry, trying every method to awaken Daonuea to no avail. Desperate, he turned to Pond for help, secretly bringing in their trusted healer, Phuwin, to examine Daonuea.
Joong: "Phuwin, how is he?"
Phuwin shook his head gravely.
Phuwin: "Your highness, I'm afraid his energy spirits and soul may have become trapped in that flower."
Joong's heart sank at the thought.
Joong: "Is there anything we can do to extract his soul from the flower?"
Phuwin hesitated before responding.
Phuwin: "Extracting a soul forcefully could cause his spirits to tear apart, especially for a mortal."
Tears welled up in Joong's eyes as the weight of the situation dawned on him.
Joong: "So there's nothing we can do?"
The helplessness in his voice echoed in the silent room, a testament to the direness of their situation.
