Gently, Joong laid Dunk down on the bed, his eyes never leaving Dunk's pale face. Sitting by the bedside, Joong brushed a stray strand of hair from Dunk's forehead, his touch gentle and tender.Dunk, who seemed to be sleeping, stirred groggily, his eyes fluttering open to meet Joong's gaze.
Dunk reached out his hand to touch Joong's brow, his touch light and fleeting.
Dunk: "Joong, don't frown. You don't look good when you frown."
Joong froze, his heart skipping a beat as he heard Dunk's words. They echoed in his mind, triggering a vivid flashback.
In the memory, Daonuea had smiled weakly, reaching out to brush Joong's furrowed brow.
Daonuea: "Joong, don't frown. You don't look good when you frown."
The memory washed over Joong like a wave, flooding him with a bittersweet mixture of pain and longing. He blinked back tears, realizing the striking similarity between Dunk's words and those spoken by Daonuea so many years ago.
As Dunk drifted back into sleep, Joong remained stunned in place, his mind racing with a thousand questions. Is he... is he...? No, Joong thought to himself, shaking his head. Daonuea was a mortal, and Dunk was a nine-tailed fox. Though they shared the same face, their personalities were vastly different. Daonuea was gentle and kind, while Dunk was carefree and energetic.
Taking one last look at Dunk's sleeping form, Joong made a decision. He needed to find out more about this mysterious connection between Dunk and Daonuea.
The next day, Joong summoned Pond and Phuwin to his secret base, where they could discuss the matter in private. As they gathered around, Joong explained his concerns to them.
Phuwin listened carefully, his brow furrowed in thought.
Phuwin: "I remember when Daonuea disappeared, there was a strange blue aura surrounding him. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. And now that you mention it, the first time I saw Dunk, his nine-tailed light aura seemed eerily similar to that."
Pond nodded in agreement, his expression serious.
Pond: "I had a similar feeling when I first encountered Daonuea. Though he was a mortal, his aura felt strangely familiar to me. It wasn't until I saw the Fox King at the banquet that I realized why."
Joong's mind raced as he processed their words. Could there be a connection between Daonuea's disappearance and Dunk's appearance?
Turning to Phuwin, Joong asked if there was anything he could do to investigate further.Phuwin nodded, determination shining in his eyes.
Phuwin: "I'll do some research and see if I can find any clues about this mysterious connection. We'll get to the bottom of this, Your Highness."
With renewed resolve, Joong and his companions set out to uncover the truth behind Dunk's origins and his connection to Daonuea. The answers they sought lay shrouded in mystery, but Joong was determined to uncover them, no matter the cost.
