Phuwin hesitated for a moment, weighing his words carefully.
Phuwin: "I do have a suggestion, but..."
Joong looked at Phuwin with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
Joong: "Tell me, Phuwin. As long as I can do it."
Phuwin took a deep breath before continuing.
Phuwin: "It's our Frostbloom Sanctuary. We can seal him inside with a protective barrier to keep him safe."
Joong pondered Phuwin's suggestion carefully, his mind racing with the potential risks and consequences.
Joong: "Alright, let's do it."
Pond interjected, concern etched on his face.
Pond: "Joong, it's too dangerous. If your father finds out..."
Joong raised a hand to silence Pond, determination shining in his eyes.
Joong: "I know, Pond. But I can't leave him like this."
With a resigned sigh, Pond nodded in agreement.
After agreeing on their plan, the three of them set out to sneak Daonuea into their celestial realm. With Phuwin's guidance, they managed to navigate through the barriers undetected, eventually reaching the Frostbloom Sanctuary.
Once inside, Phuwin worked quickly to seal the protective barrier around Daonuea, ensuring his safety within the sanctuary.
After securing Daonuea, the trio made their way back to Joong's chamber, their hearts heavy with the weight of their secret.
Phuwin handed Joong the flower, his expression grave.
Phuwin: "Your highness, find a way to hide this in your room. Remember to cast a spell on it every day to prevent it from unleashing its power on anyone. We'll keep it until we find a way to extract the soul and heal the mortal."
With a solemn nod, Joong accepted the flower, understanding the gravity of their situation and the responsibility that lay upon him.
As days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, and slowly years passed, Joong would secretly visit Daonuea every day, talking to him and keeping him company. Sometimes, Phuwin would accompany him, along with Pond. Phuwin would check on Daonuea's condition while Pond kept watch.
One day, while Joong was reading in his chambers, he noticed the flowers in his room starting to turn black. Sensing something was wrong, he quickly called Phuwin and Pond to the sanctuary. They rushed to the place and found Daonuea's body slowly disappearing before their eyes.
Joong panicked, trying to get close to Daonuea, but there was a barrier of blue light surrounding him. They could only helplessly watch as Daonuea's body disappeared right in front of them.
Joong cried for days, inconsolable in his grief. Pond stayed by his side, providing his friend with much-needed support during this difficult time.
Meanwhile, in the fox clan, a miracle began to unfold. The icy cave that had preserved Dunk's body for so long started emanating an aura of blue light. A junior fox who had been looking after the cave came running to the Fox King with news of the extraordinary event.
Junior Fox: "Your Majesty... something extraordinary is happening in the cave!"
The Fox King quickly rushed to the icy cave, his heart pounding with anticipation. Upon arrival, he saw the aura of blue light emitting from Dunk's body.
Fox King: "Quick, summon the healers now!"
Minutes later, the healers arrived, bustling in and out of the icy cave, preparing potions and casting spells. The Fox Queen and the other princes arrived shortly after, their hearts filled with hope and trepidation.
Fourth Prince: "Father, what's happening?"
Fox King: "Dunk might be waking up soon."
The Fox Queen's eyes brimmed with tears as she watched the scene unfold. The healers worked tirelessly, and after a few moments, Dunk slowly fluttered his eyes open, signaling the beginning of a new chapter for him and his loved ones.
