Reassurance in the Shadows

As Dunk rested in bed, the Fourth Prince quietly instructed his servant to deliver a message to Joong, requesting a meeting. Shortly thereafter, Joong received the message and, feeling a mix of anticipation and apprehension, he made his way to meet with the Fourth Prince.

Upon arriving at the designated meeting place, Joong found the Fourth Prince waiting for him. The atmosphere was tense, both men keenly aware of the weight of the situation.

Fourth Prince: Crown Prince, thank you for coming.

Joong: Call me Joong please, Fourth Highness. What did you want to speak to me about?

Fourth Prince's expression was grave as he began to speak, his concern evident in his voice.

Fourth Prince: I wanted to talk to you about Dunk. He's been through a lot recently, and I'm worried about him. I know you care about him deeply, but I need to understand what happened between you two.

Joong nodded, his own worry mirroring that of the Fourth Prince.

Joong: I understand your concern, Fourth Highness. Dunk means a great deal to me, and I would never do anything to harm him. But I fear that recent events may have caused him distress.

Fourth Prince: Dunk mentioned feeling conflicted about his feelings for you. He's unsure if you truly care for him or if it's the memory of Daonuea that you're drawn to.

Joong's heart clenched at the mention of Daonuea, but he knew he had to be honest with the Fourth Prince.

Joong: I won't deny that there's a connection between Dunk and Daonuea, but my feelings for Dunk are genuine. I care about him deeply, regardless of his past.

The Fourth Prince listened intently, his expression softening slightly at Joong's words.

Fourth Prince: I believe you, Joong. But Dunk needs reassurance. He needs to know that you're there for him, no matter what.

Joong nodded, a sense of determination settling over him.

Joong entered the Fourth Prince's sanctuary, he was struck by the serene beauty of the surroundings. Peach blossoms adorned the walls, their delicate fragrance filling the air. A gentle river streamed nearby, its soothing melody creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Led through a series of hallways by the Fourth Prince, Joong eventually arrived at the door of Dunk's chamber. With a nod from the Fourth Prince, Joong entered the room.
