Kind of a long chapter but there is a smut section, so I hope that makes up for it.  Enjoy!

Trent's POV

I'm at a loss as to what to do for her. Grant, Sammy and I are taking her back to our place. We're all afraid that taking her home right now would throw her down a deeper whole without Tony being there. To lose a child... I can't imagine her pain. On top of that, I have rarely seen a mother and son as close as they were. Tony saw her as the perfect mother and she adored everything about him. She was so proud of who he was and the man he was becoming. Hell, I was proud of him. Over the last few months I had grown really fond of him, already thinking about ideas of him becoming our son in the future and how cool that would be; wondering if he would accept us and be happy for his mom to have us. His laugh was like his mother's, overly infectious. His personality and looks were so much like his mother, we referred to him as her 'mini me.' He had the perfect combination of her traits in a masculine way.

I think I'm going to either start sticking with our home gym or find another one now. I don't think I could go back to that one without seeing him or hearing his laughter across the room. I loved that about him. He had been taught by his mother to never hold back his joy. She told him once when we were there but thought we were far enough to not hear, "Tony, don't you ever hold that in. When you laugh baby, you let the whole world hear it because it's the most beautiful sound in the world. If those girls think you are immature simply because you laugh a lot, then they are missing out and will continue to live their lives in the grey when they could be living in full color, HD." They both laughed at this and Grant and I shared a knowing look thinking about how cool their relationship was. Now, uhhh now I don't know how to hold her together, or even if we're supposed to.

We're in Sammy's SUV and she's curled up in the back seat beside me. Her head is in my lap and I'm stroking her hair. She has dried tears all over her face and every once in a while in her sleep, she does that breathing jerk you make when you've cried too much. I want to fix this. I want to bring him back and see her smile again. I want to burn the entire world for her.

"Did you find anything out?" Sammy quietly asks me from the driver's seat, looking back at me through the rear view mirror.

"I'm waiting on my guys. They said they'd call in a few minutes." Just then my phone buzzed. I looked down to read the text message.

Gary: Boss, it looks like a hit and run. Driver's side hit - full impact. Appears to have been a lifted large truck, probably reinforced front. Tire treads show quick acceleration prior to impact. Looks  deliberate. Cops investigating. We'll keep you up to date.

Me: Got it. What happened to his detail?

Gary: They were behind him a few miles back but got stuck behind an old lady who almost hit them when she pulled out in front of them. By the time they caught up, the accident had just happened and no one else was there. They tried to save him but he was pretty bad off.

Me: Alright. Give them the day off. I know it was hard to watch a kid die in front of you.

Gary: No problem boss. How's she?

Me: Sleeping. Exhausted.

Gary: Send her my condolences. She's an amazing lady. I can only imagine she had a great kid.

Me: Gotcha. Thanks man.

Some of my guys had met Michelle over the course of installing her security as well as her detail guys. They had all grown fond of both her and Tony almost immediately. I saw determination in them to protect her like I hadn't ever seen before when they saw the pictures of her office. I can only imagine how devastated those guys were to not be able to save Tony. Fuck. That kid was so cool. I feel a tear slip down my face and land on Michelle's cheek. I lightly brush it away to not disturb her.
