Chapter 10 : Childrens
Walking back from the nearest grocery store, you found yourself in unusually high spirits, humming a cheerful tune and occasionally skipping along the way.
This small moment of joy marked a welcome respite from the usual worries that often clouded your days.
Initially, you had been quite reluctant to use the credit cards Mihawk had provided, especially considering the trust and responsibility they represented.
However, knowing that one of them was specifically designated for household groceries encouraged you to use it without reservations.
It was a refreshing break from the norm, a pleasant shift in your daily routine.
"It's nice not to have to worry about how much I have in my bank account," you mused aloud, the relief evident in your voice as you made your way back to your new home.
With everyone settling into the house on their first day, you felt a celebratory dinner was in order.
The idea of cooking a feast to mark the occasion filled you with excitement.
In preparation, you had reached out to Shakky and Rayleigh, hoping to get some insights into Mihawk's culinary preferences.
Their response, however, was amusingly vague: "Anything that pairs nicely with wine."
Their laughter at your inquiry had you sweating a little, unsure if the advice was too broad to be of any practical use.
Shaking off any lingering uncertainty, you smiled, embracing the challenge with enthusiasm.
"I'll go all out for today," you decided, determined to make the meal memorable.
Despite the hiccup of Luffy skipping class—typical behavior from your free - spirited brother — you were confident he would be fine.
In fact, you concocted a playful plan for Luffy as a light-hearted punishment: tying him to a chair and making him watch as everyone else enjoyed the feast.
It was a mischievous thought, one that brought a grin to your face as you imagined his reaction.
You arrived back at your new home, only to be greeted by the unexpected sight of a large delivery truck parked in front of the house.
Curiosity piqued, you entered and found Mihawk engaged in a conversation with the delivery man in the hallway.
"Hawk-chan? Was there a delivery I should have helped handle for you?"
You approached him, a tinge of concern in your voice.
You worried you might have missed an assignment or overlooked something he had asked you to take care of.
Mihawk, however, quickly concluded his conversation with the delivery man and turned to face you, his demeanor calm.
"Do not worry, Miss Y/N, I was just craving some wine and decided to have the basement converted into a wine cellar," he explained casually, as if transforming a significant part of the house on a whim was nothing out of the ordinary.
You paused for a moment, then smiled at his nonchalant revelation.
"So... you were just craving wine and decided to have them delivered today?" you asked, your tone lighthearted, matching his easy approach.
He simply nodded, and you closed your eyes briefly, your smile broadening.
When you opened them again, you couldn't help but giggle at the whole situation. Mihawk raised an eyebrow, curious about your amusement.
