Chapter 11 : Pleasant

"Explain yourselves."

Mihawk demanded sternly, his imposing presence filling the principal's office.

Seated with his arms folded and feet tapping impatiently, he exuded an aura of barely contained irritation.

His piercing gaze was fixed on the three boys standing before him, each looking worse for wear with bruises and cuts—a testament to the recent scuffle.

Adding an odd touch to the scene, his newly adopted son, Zoro, was clutching a white kitten that seemed blissfully unaware of the tense atmosphere enveloping the room.

Mihawk's eyes flitted between the students, his glare sharp and demanding.

Beside the principal, who was also seated, stood Robin, a hint of a smile playing on her lips despite the gravity of the situation.

"Your father is on the way, Helmeppo. As for you, Luffy, you know your sister will not be pleased to hear what occurred today," she said, her voice sweet yet filled with a seriousness that underscored the gravity of their actions.

"The dude with the weird haircut started it! He kicked my Kitty!" Luffy retorted, his expression turning into a pout as he pointed accusingly at Helmeppo.

Helmeppo, already fuming, shot back defensively, "Roronoa started it first! Look at what he did to my hair!"

His voice was a mixture of anger and humiliation, his hand instinctively going up to touch the uneven remnants of his once-pristine haircut.

Mihawk, however, redirected his intense glare back to Helmeppo, increasing the pressure.

"I was not speaking to either of you. I was speaking to my son," he stated firmly, his voice low and commanding.

The room fell silent, the tension almost palpable.

Helmeppo swallowed hard, his bravado wilting under Mihawk's fierce gaze.

Zoro, maintaining his stoic demeanor, met his adoptive father's eyes and exhaled deeply.

"Was trying to find the classroom and then got stuck on the rooftop and then was attacked by this dude's friends again," he explained succinctly, his tone flat but filled with a slight edge of frustration over the day's chaotic events.

The simplicity of Zoro's explanation contrasted sharply with the heated accusations flying between Luffy and Helmeppo, highlighting the chaotic nature of the incident and the misunderstandings that had escalated into a full-blown fight.

Mihawk listened intently, his expression unchanging as he processed the information, preparing to handle the situation with his characteristic precision and authority.

The principal, who had discovered the chaotic scene on the rooftop with three students fighting and others unconscious, finally addressed the room.

His voice carried a mix of disappointment and authority as he sought clarity from the involved parties.

"So you are saying that you weren't at fault?" he asked, his gaze fixed on Zoro, who had been one of the main participants in the altercation.

Zoro met the principal's eyes and nodded affirmatively, his expression serious and unwavering, suggesting his belief in his own innocence in the matter.

At this point, Robin, always the mediator, turned towards Principal Kuma, hoping to soften the situation with some diplomatic words.

"Mr. Kuma, I'm sure the students regret doing what they have done," she suggested, her tone conciliatory, aiming to highlight the potential remorse the students might feel.
