Charlotte POV
I woke up with someone shaking me. I blink up at the figure... oh, it was just Casimir. I heard someone yell my name and I sat up while brushing Casimir off. So far, he hadn't convinced me to consider him an ally; I'll remain indifferent, not like or hate just indifference.
I brush myself off and reach up to grab my duffel bag, instead, it tipped over the side. I neatly sidestepped the falling health hazard, but Casimir was a boy, and all boys are dumb. SOO.. it fell on Casimir instead. I stifle a smile.
I picked up my duffel and left the cabin, sure to lock the door behind me.
I stood there, probably looking foolish, but I didn't give a damn about that anymore; like hello anyone, I'm trying to SURVIVE! One of the cabin doors in front of me swung open and one of the girls who had been my classmate before we moved (I think her name was Loxley) stepped out, looked around and stepped back inside. A second later, she came back outside wearing a big black backpack.
I bet her pack didn't fall on anyone's head; thinking of, where was Casimir? Whatever, I'm sure he was fine... if he had to survive the Hunger Games, I'm sure he could survive being in a cabin, ALONE. Oh shit, I had locked the door hadn't I?
Oh well... Finnick is probably alive.
I continue forward, hoping to go SOMEHWHERE instead of standing in the hall and looking like a damned idiot.
I move forward and then see a sign that says "Cafe" pointing to the right. I follow the board and then come to a luxurious train car. It has wood tables spread around the thick carpet under that made my feet feel like they fucking drowning. Damn Capitol.
I see a girl just lounging and decide to go join her. I mean, it can't hurt much, she can't kill me yet 😏.
I sit down and say "Hey...." An awkward silence follows and after a few moments the girl replies "Hey, I guess. I'm Loxley, people call me Lox though"
We start talking after that, and she offers me a cupcake. I stare at it in shock... it was damn pink and had sparkly sprinkles on top of it.
Lox takes one look at my face and bursts out giggling loudly. I turn bright red as everyone starts looking at us. And that's when Casimir comes in. Cue the fanfare, peeps. After that.. everyone justs goes back to whatever they were doing.
However, great king Casimir came and said "Can I talk to you?"
I'm like whatever "Umm sure"
He led to a more secluded part of the car and then said "Hey don't get close to Loxley okay?"
What the actual hell, is he mentally depressed or something?
"And why not?" I reply, annoyed.
"She is BAD NEWS" Fuck him, he's screaming at me and I DIDN"T EVEN DO ANYTHING.
"Why would I listen to YOU??" I say quite meanly, he deserves it.
"JUST STAY AWAY" Casimir yells.
Everyone starts staring at the corner we were in and he tones down his voice but still manages to irk my nerves before leaving
"Fine but don't blame me if that little "friend" fucking kills you," and leaves.
"Fine" I scoff and turn back to my table.
When I get back, Lox asks me what that was all about. I didn't tell her everything because I didn't know whether or not to trust her so I said "Nothing" and we resumed our convo.
I didn't talk to Casimir at all for the rest of the day... for good things too. I probably would have murdered him.
That night, I went to bed... halfway trusting Lox and not trusting Casimir.
