Hey guys!!!!! Its me hi. Im trying third person for this chapter... let me know what u think. Thanks for all u guys reading! Also sry its been kinda boring till here but i promise.. action soon!
Charlotte kept walking, clearly lost in thought. Every few seconds she would glance over her shoulder and squint as if she was trying to find a ghost. In a sense though, she was. Ever since the experience in the cafe, she had been paranoid. She didnt know why she was so nervous, but something was wrong. And she was right... though she didnt know about it yet
Char was so distracted she didnt notice the hologram she was about to trip over until Loxley yanked her shoulder, which caused Charlotte to trip over her own feet.
Lox tried to stifle her laughter, and she was about to fail until Char glared at her. Lox swallowed her laughter while Char was picking herself up and straitenging her dress.
"What the hell was that about?" Char hissed.
"Oh im sorry... didnt realize you wanted to fall on ur face"
"Well, I fell either way so guess it doesnt matter now!" Char chuckled.
Lox sighed, it was hard to be around char.. it was almost impossible to know when the girl was joking or being real. She didnt want to have an enemy, especially seeing that she didnt have any other friends.
She stepped around Char and clicked on the hologram. It expanded to about six feet and char came and joined her to peer at the slighty transparent blue screen.
"Let's go to the SKILLS station" Char said pointing at a section close to here. Lox didnt see the point of arguing and said "lead the way" with a mock bow.
Charlotte giggled and gave me a quick curtsy before walking toward a crossroad then turning right. Not wanting to lose her Lox quickly hurries along.
After one last turn into a somewhat short hallway, they finally find the room labeled skills. Together they open the door and step into a legitimate yoga paradise.
"Wait, are those REAL trees?!"
As they keep walking, the instructor walks out of a grove of trees. His forehead is painted like tree bark, and it looks real.
"Welcome to the SKILLS station, Ill be ur instructor here today and u call me Mr.D . U know, not a lot of Tributes come here, but I won by painting myself like a rock and hiding. Finally i killed the last person with a poisoned dart. Anyway lets get started. Todays events are ropes, poison and weapons. What would u like to do?"
In unison, both of them replied"Poisons" and grinned at each other.
"So eager eh? Well lets get going." So the instructor starts leading them onto a really real looking trail, with tan and creame stones littering the flattened grass. Char was tempted to remove her shoes and just walk on the stones, but this was the Hunger Games; NOTHING was ever as it seems.
Finally, they reach a small clearing. There was a small cold lake, but u could see it was fake once u spotted the small grate at the bottom. Next to it was a bunch of cooking utensils and ingrediants like marigolds milweeds onions and of course, katniss.
Mr.D hands them both small notebooks with some prewritten recipes and told them to first chose one of the approved recipes and then try to execute it. "Once ur done, apply it on some darts then test it out on some dummies."
Both of them choose and then about 30 mins later, Lox is done. She grabs a couple of darts and tilts her pan onto them, effectively coating not just the darts but also the entire table and her hands.
Char, who finished about ten minutes later, tries using a syringe but over fills it and instead coats her apron.
Mr D is watching this, trying to suppress his smile. He comes over and helps them clean up. Suddenly loud gongs start and the same woman who had announced the start of practice tells the Tributes its time for lunch.
However, Char and Lox arent allowed to leave until their mini kitchen is clean.
Finally, theyre done and everything looks like how it was when they came in. They head out, looking forward to lunch because they were starving.
"Let's hope theres a good lunch, not some damn protein. If it is, imma clobber someone!" Lox whines.
Char laughs and they open the door to an Avox holding a piece of paper out to them. The Avox had a scar over her eye and looked scared. Lox reaches out and snatches the paper out of the Avox's hands. As soon as the paper is gone from her hands, the Avox leaves, hurrying out of there.
Eyeing the paper suspiciously, Lox flips it open. On it just a short letter:
"The food is poisoned. Be careful!"
With wide eyes, Lox and Char aprehensively step inside the cafetaria.
Yayyyy. This is the longest chapter ive ever written! Hope u enjoy!
