10- Allies and Killables

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy guys! Im gonna do third person again for this chapter. 

The Next Day

Casimir and Sebastien are the first ones to arrive at the cafe for breakfast. Splitting up, Cas goes over to get his usual order of a million milkshakes while Seb goes over for some omelettes. When the two are coming back to their table, they see Loxley, Charlotte, and Akira coming in. 

As the girls scan the tables, they see Cas and Seb and weave through tables to reach the one where the boys are at. 

"So, are we going to be doing things together?" Akira asked, after taking a seat. 

Sighing, Char answered "I think we should... might as well publicize this alliance" 

"Either way, whatever we do, im gonna go get breakfast." With that statement, Lox left their little group and heads over to the breakfast tables. The other two girls follow her, who knows when they're next meal will. Thankfully, last nights dinner was normal, Charlotte sighs but if yesterdays lunch was any indication, this was going to be the worst Hunger Games ever. 

The trio load up there plates with food, and bring the plates back to the table. "And I thought Sebastien ate a lot!" Cas eyed the plates. Lox raised an eyebrow "Hey, its not my fault u eat litte". The mood dropped; cas had gotten used to eating little when his family was poor. "Cas, Im sorry. I d-didnt mean it." Cas gave a small smile "No, its okay" 

They continued to eat in silence... until the announcement came on.

"All Stations will be closed today. Instead, u r encouraged to meet the other Tributes and strategize. Find allies, enemies, watch old tapes. However, u dont have to do these. Consider today, the calm before the storm. Oh and before i forget "May the odds be ever in your favor!"

Charlotte POV

So I guess I found allies, not that I trust anyone completely yet. But if i had to trust someone, it would be lox... i guess. 

We all headed to the library to check out the tapes before anyone else. There weren't many left, not to our surprise. However, we did "find" the 75th Hunger Games tape. Apparently Sebastien had already put it on hold. So we all gathered round a little wooden table...

And watched a death match. Honestly the bloodbath was a little gruesome but manageable. 

Loxley POV

Ugh, blood. It was just a part of my life now, i guess. Like, i try to avoid it but somehow, it just keeps coming back to me. 

I always trained, my parents wanted me to be a Peacekeeper and earn fame and glory for my family, and i did too... until the rebellion. I saw my grandparents who had come to stay with us for the first time, bleed to death in front of my eyes, peeking out from the closet doors' gap. Don't I just love my life.  But all i know, is I WILL win, no matter what... or who.

CAS POV

"Why is my life like this?"

First, it was the rebellion, where my father died. Now, most likely, I will die. UGH

On THAT depressing note, the five of us were going through a list of competitors. So far, Basil, the D1 female, and Alaric, the D7 male, were one of the top competitors.

"Heyyyyy!!!!" Charlotte muttered "I don't wanna deal with this right now", sighed, and said "Hi, Honora. No offense, but... what do you want?"

"Oh. Nothin much... I just wanted to see what the loser team was doing." Charlotte grinned innocently and said "Ur halfway across the room from that team, you know? Your team is sitting over there, by the stained window."

I grinned, I didn't know who this girl was, but I am enjoying it. By now, Honora was seething and started back and i called out "Honora, wait! You might want to check your pants once... just a thought." Hurriedly, Honora dusted her pants repeatedly before scurrying away.

Ha... just then the lunch bell rang. It better not be poisoned again, or i will find whoever poisoned it and shove the food down their throat.
