after seeing all their friends and saying goodbye to everyone, the triplets, nate, and the girls all met back up with their families in the crowd.

kaia told her parents that her and everyone were going out for icecream to celebrate, and they all walked back to her car.

their families went back home after photos and all the kids took off their caps and gowns, throwing them into kaia's trunk before getting in.

"where do you guys want icecream from?" kaia asks, starting the car.

"mcdonalds! i'm craving an oreo mcflurry so bad right now." chloe says from the backseat.

matt is in the front seat so he takes aux as kaia is backing out of the parking lot.

"oooh, me too. good idea." kaia agrees, driving towards mcdonalds.

kaia, as always, has her window rolled all the way down to enjoy the breeze as she drives, loving the feeling of the fresh boston air on her face.

she goes through the drive thru and orders 6 oreo mcflurrries, pulling up to the next window to pay.

after she pays, they hand her the trays with all the icecream and matt takes the trays from her hands so she can keep driving as he hands them out to everyone.

"thank you, kaia." nate says, taking a big bite of his mcflurry.

"yeah, thanks." chris, nick, and chloe all say simultaneously.

"no problem." she nods, taking her icecream from matt.

"thanks, baby." he whispers while everyone is distracted and listening to the music.

she nods and smiles at him, driving with one hand so she can manage to eat the icecream. the cup is sitting between her legs and she's using her spare hand to scoop it, matt's hand on her thigh while they drive.

"do you guys just want to go back to the house?" kaia asks, stopping at a red light.

"we should go somewhere for a little bit. not too long, though. the party is at 8." nick says.

"ok, where do you wanna go?" she looks at nick in the mirror.

"we could go to that field by our old elementary school and sit in all the flowers." he suggests.

"but there's bees." matt whines.

"not really, it's only june." kaia laughs and looks at him, he has a big dramatic frown on his face.

"fine. but the second i see a bee, i'm getting in the car." matt shrugs.

"don't be such a baby." kaia rolls her eyes.

"i'm not, i just don't exactly enjoy getting stung." his hand remains on kaia's leg.

she laughs again and drives towards their old school. there's a big beautiful flower field behind it that they always used to play in as kids, and now they're all highschool graduates.

they enjoy the music and drive over to the school, parking in the school parking lot and walking through a hole in the old fence to get back into the field.

everyone walks over to where all the overgrown flowers are and they sit in a big circle together on the ground.

"it's such nice weather today." chris notices as he's looking up at the sky.

"i know, i wish it was like this everyday." chloe agrees, laying down on her back and looking up at the clouds.

everyone joins her and they all lay on their backs, admiring the beautiful sky and all the cool clouds.

"we graduated, that means it's officially summer." kaia speaks, breaking the silence of everyone admiring the nature around them.

"i'm so excited, we can do so many cool things." matt says, grabbing kaia's hand to hold.

"what are we gonna do all summer?" nathan asks.

"go to the beach, plan a trip, not really sure yet." nick suggests.

"we do have to go back to la after prom." chris adds.

"yeah, just for a couple weeks, though." matt nods.

"that can be fun, we'll get to see everyone down there again. last time we were in la it started not so great." kaia laughs at the end.

"well, luckily, this isn't gonna be like last time. you and matt aren't gonna pull some bullshit like that ever again." nick warns them.

"obviously, nick." kaia rolls her eyes, squeezing matt's hand as she stares up at all the clouds.

"we look like hippies just laying in the grass." chris chuckles.

"oh well." nick shrugs.

a couple hours go by of just everyone talking about life and plans for youtube now that they're all graduated.

kaia eventually grabs her phone to check the time and she sits up in a panic, pulling matt up with her.

"it's 7:30, i still have to run to the mall. i don't have an outfit." kaia stands up and puts her shoes on, everyone rushes with her.

"i completely lost track of time." matt apologizes.

"it's fine, we just have to go now." kaia assures him.

they all walk back through the hole in the fence and run to kaia's car, she quickly starts it and hops in, driving to the mall as quick as she safely can.

once there, she parks the car and gets out, practically running inside.

"wait!" matt shouts at her, struggling with his seatbelt to get out.

"everyone just stay here, i'll be 5 minutes." she stops walking and turns back to answer him.

everyone else stays in the car but matt runs up to her anyway, so the two of them go inside together.

she holds his hand tightly so he won't lose her in the busy mall, she drags him into her favourite clothing store and wastes no time picking out a cute outfit.

once at the register, matt reaches for his wallet in his back pocket and kaia quickly uses the tap on her phone to pay before he can even reach his.

he rolls his eyes and stares down at her, she happily smiles at him, grabbing the reciept and his hand and walking out of the store.

"you didn't have to do that." he laughs.

"and you don't have to always pay for me. i'm an adult, i can buy my own things." she looks up at him.

"whatever." he sighs.

they hurry back to the car and kaia tosses the bag with the clothes back to chloe to hold as she drives off for the triplet's house, now having less than 10 minutes for everyone to get ready for zeke's party.
