Chapter 4: Breach Shelter

I'm inside a breach shelter, when the sirens came on, I heard many people screaming. I don't know why, I think it was near, before I ran to the shelter. I heard many cracking and snapping noises near me when the doors were closing, what the hell is happening.

I walked towards the security console which is a computer. It even received an award for its performance 2 years ago in 2002. I turn it on and it starts booting up the systems. Thank god I was talented with tech.

I check through the cameras as David is conversing with some other staff in the shelter. The shelter we ran to was the largest at the site. It includes an area for food and multiple computers. I look at camera DA, otherwise known as the Class-D containment area only to see Class-D rioting, but were being punished severely, some even were shot dead for attempting to attack security guards. I switch to camera SE, which is near our position in the Cafeteria. I see SCP-173 present there. Standing idly as multiple guards look at it with fear or I assume fear. Someone put it in a mobile cage and it was carted back to its containment area where it now sits idly.

I look through the cameras again and I go to camera EP in CON-E, I see SCP-049, the Plague doctor ravaging at the organs of a Class-D. I was surprised they were still going on with testing even with a Euclid Class Object being out of containment. SCP-049 then put some weird liquid into the poor guy and he stood up and started banging on the bulletproof glass. This was the normality for his testing. People started calling SCP-049-1 "zombies" as they look and do pretty much the same thing as SCP-008, the zombie plague.

SCP-049 is a plague doctor from the times of the bubonic plague or what he calls in "the pestilence" which sounds weird. Anyone who comes into contact with this guy or anomaly, will be told that they have the pestilence and will be killed by the plague doctor. The weird substance he inserts into the organs of SCP-049-1 is called by SCP-049 "The cure for the pestilence". He does contain human intelligence and in fact is quite smart. Sometimes he talks to the staff, but usually brings up the pestilence into the conversation which is odd.

I have a friend that does testing with 049 and he told me his behavior is also off. He was more aggressive and has been torturing SCP-049-1 when turning him into a zombie. I assume it is related to SCP-682.
