Chapter 6: Realization

As I sip my coffee in the testing area of SCP-682, I think, why only 173 breached yesterday. It had tampered with the containment cells of multiple SCP such as 939, 049, and 008. I don't know if he is trying to make it look like he only tampered with 173's containment chamber. I go to the room with the PA system for specifically its containment area.

"682, why did you tamper with the containment chambers of multiple Euclid and Keter SCP?"

The lizard looked up at where the PA system speaker was. The lizard spoke, its words were slurred so I took a little bit to realize what it said.

"Well you caught me, yes, I did tamper with the doors, that's how 173 breached,"

I look through the one way glass as I realize he wasn't lying. The reason I knew this was true, was because SCP-682 is not the type to lie. He was like a human in a lizard's body. He has multiple unusual muscles in his face like a human to make somewhat facial expressions.

I look at it, knowing that the site might go to crap if we let this go untouched or unscathed. I leave the room and walk towards the control room. I was let in by the security system because of my Level 5 keycard. The level 5 keycard is the highest level staff at the SCP Foundation can reach. Because of my expertise, groundbreaking discoveries of SCP-682, and the fact I give out therapy sessions sometimes to staff led me to climbing levels rapidly.

I walk in and tap on the Site Director's shoulder.

"What?" the Site Director asked angrily.

"Look, go back 10 minutes ago in 682's containment room," I tell him.

He tells one of the Intelligence Agency Agents to switch to Camera KW which is the containment room and tells him to change the time back to 9:55. He listens then looks at me with a face of horror. I look at him. Knowing that if he is scared, the site is screwed.

"LOCK DOWN THE SITE, CALL MAINTENANCE, DEPLOY ALL RRT AND MTF TO SECURE ALL CONTAINMENT AREAS, CANCEL TESTING, AND ACTIVATE ALL SECURITY SYSTEMS. IF A BREACH HAPPENS SEND ALL NON-COMBATANTS TO A BREACH SHELTER!"

I grabbed a radio and sat down at a vacant camera station and booted up the computer.

I hear an automated alarm

"ALL SITE PERSONNEL BE ADVISED, A CASE OF SCP-610 HAS BEEN DETECTED IN THE RESEARCH LAB OF SCP-610, DOORS AND VENTILATION IN SCP-610'S CONTAINMENT CELL HAS BEEN SEALED SHUT FOR SAFETY PURPOSES, A SPECIALIZATION SCIENTIST AND A GROUP OF MTF NOW CONSIDERED QRF PERSONNEL ARE ADVISED TO HEAD TOWARDS SCP-610'S CONTAINMENT CELL TO RECONTAN, IF YOU ARE TO ENTER SCP-610'S CONTAINMENT AREA, WEAR SCP SPECIALIZED M50 GAS MASK WHEN ENTERING CELL TO PREVENT INFECTION OF THE ANOMALY. SECURE CONTAIN PROTECT"

I look at the Site Director as he tells me

"Head towards the Amory, Alpha-1 is waiting for you with some equipment,"

I ask "Why me? Wait, aren't those like the best of the best?"

"I know you specialize in diseases too," He ignored my question.

I just turned off the computer and left. As I ascend the elevator I think about how I will do it.

There are 2 doors in SCP-610's cell, a decontamination door, and a lab door. I need to go through the decontamination cell, then the lab, to exterminate the spores by using a specialized spore vacuum residing in the lab. I need to grab the vacuum then suck the spores out. I will use a spore detector on the vacuum to see if it's safe to remove the gas mask.
