I walked through the Christmas tree farm with Marissa, Summer, Seth, Ryan and Ben. We'd been searching for the perfect tree for Summers house for the past three hours. Normally, I would have been annoyed, but Summer was so excited about finding the perfect tree that I didn't mind.

"These stems couldn't hold the heavier ornaments." Summer said as she examined yet another tree.

"So that's a pass then?" Marissa asked and Ryan glanced at her.

"Why not? We've been here three hours."

"Hey get in the spirit man, it's Chrismukkah and I love Chrismukkah."

"With this being our third Chrismukkah with you Seth, I think we know that by now." I joked and he grinned.

"It's seriously the best thing I've ever done. Every Jewish boy wants Christmas and I gave myself that."

"What's the equivalent then? What does every Christian kid want?" Ben asked him.

"Easy. A bar mitzvah."

"I've never wanted one." Ryan told him.

"Well that's just because you don't know better."

"Ooh." Ryan said with his eyebrows raised. I rolled my eyes at the two of them and walked over to where Summer and Marissa were examining trees.

"Ooh, do you think Johnny would like this tree?" Marissa asked and Summer and I glanced at each other, then at Marissa.

"Johnny? Johnny who? Johnny Harper Johnny- the one let's take time off and just be friends because I'm in love with you-Johnny?" Summer asked rapidly.

"It's just I feel bad. I mean it's the holidays and he's all alone layed up with his knee."

I felt bad too, I had to admit. Normally I would have felt sympathy for Johnny of course, but since he'd saved me when he'd been hit by the car, I couldn't help but feel like I owed him something.

"It's just a tree." I stated with a shrug and Summer shrugged as well. "Okay, but I get to pick it out."

After Summer picked out a tree, the three of us walked back over to Ben, Ryan and Seth.

"Hey, so we found a great tree for Johnny's house." Marissa stated. I didn't miss the quick look that the three guys shared.

"Did you now?" Seth asked.

"Yeah, well we figured he could use some holiday cheer." I stated with a shrug.

"Yeah I think that's a great idea. Come on." Ryan told Marissa with a smile before they walked away.

I walked over to Seth to see he was raising his eyebrows at me.

"And what do you think, Seth?"

"My Chrismukkah forecast calls for trouble."

The six of us pulled up to Johnny's house. Ryan grabbed the smaller tree we'd picked out for Johnny's house out of the back of the Range Rover and walked up to the door with Marissa.

The rest of us stayed a little behind them, but we were still close enough to see and hear everything.

"Hey."

"Oh, hey Marissa." Mrs. Harper stated.

"If you're looking for Johnny, it's probably not the best time," she continued.

"Is everything okay?" Marissa asked, just as I heard Johnny's voice. "Who is it, Mom?"

"Hey guys." Johnny said as he limped to the door and saw all of us. I waved at him.
