"What's the problem, Seth?" I asked him as we walked into the kitchen. He'd been worried about something for the whole night, but I wasn't sure what it was.
"Things are going way too well around here." He told me. I glanced at Ryan, who was already in the kitchen.
"What?"
"Marissa got back into Harbor. You guys seem to have resolved your surftastic love triangle, Ally and I are doing great, and we've all never been happier."
"Seth, it's senior year, it's supposed to be the best year ever." Ryan told him.
"No, you should know better. Every time things are gonna too well around here, trouble comes a knocking."
"Trouble?" I asked him.
"Mhmm. Knocking."
The doorbell rang and I raised my eyebrows.
"Or a ringing." Seth remarked.
"It's probably just FedEx." Ryan stated, walking to the door. I followed after him, leaving Seth behind.
When he opened the door, a young girl of about fourteen turned around. The first thing that crossed my mind was that she certainly wasn't dressing her age. Her shirt was unbuttoned and tied up to show her stomach and her skirt was shorter than it needed to be. The second thing I thought was that she looked really familiar. But who could she be? I racked my brain, but couldn't think of who she could be.
"So I show up at my house to surprise my mom and this Persian dude answers the door."
"Uh, I'm sorry.." Ryan said, glancing at me. I shrugged and glanced at the girl, who continued her speech.
"I figured he was the new butler, then I saw his shoes- Prada. Then I thought maybe he was my new stepdad and I was about to hug him, but then this wife showed up. No matter how rich the guy is, my mom would never join a harem."
"Um, I don't-"
"So I was like Persian dude, what are you doing in my house and where is my mother? And he was like who is your mother, so I told him and he tells me that my mother moved and that all the mail is still being forwarded here-"
"I think you might have the wrong.." Ryan started, but then I finally realized who it was. My eyes went wide at how much older she looked.
"Are you gonna invite me in or what? Geez Ryan, Newport hasn't improved your manners at all."
"Oh my God." Ryan stated in shock.
"Oh my God, Kaitlin Cooper." Seth said as he walked up behind us.
"Weird neighbor kid, hi."
"You- uh- you've grown-"
"Boobs?" Kaitlin asked and I gave Seth a look.
Kaitlin glanced at the three of us before grabbing her suitcase and walking inside.
"Oh, it's a knocking." Seth muttered to Ryan and I.

I sat in the kitchen with Ryan, Seth, Kirsten and Sandy."Kaitlin Cooper, it must have been two years since she's been back." Sandy stated.
"Did she mention why she's home in the middle of the semester?" Kirsten asked us.
"We never really got past where home is." I told her. I was sure Kaitlin wouldn't be too happy with the fact that Julie and Marissa now lived in a trailer.
"Oh Julie wants us to wait till she gets here before she tells Kaitlin-"
"That her family's a prime candidate for Pimp my DoubleWide?" Seth asked.
