I woke up in my old room with a start. Something told me I needed to check on Ryan. I heard a knock on my door and Seth walked in. It seemed like he had the same idea.

"I heard Ryan on the phone. He's going after Volchok."

I winced at the sound of Volchok's name. He was the reason Marissa was dead. Ryan had told me after it had happened. He'd said Volchok rammed into the Jeep and flipped it and that accident had killed Marissa.

Seth and I walked downstairs, where I saw Ryan about to leave.

"Where are you going?" I asked him. He stiffened and then slowly turned to face me.

"Gym."

"You're lying."

"I heard you on the phone." Seth chimed in and Ryan rolled his eyes.

"That's not any of you two's business."

"Like hell it isn't! Marissa was my best friend!"

"Ryan, if you know where Volchok is, you should just call the police." Seth added.

"No, I'm not calling the police."

"Well, I'm not letting you go." Seth told him.

"It's not your choice."

"It doesn't matter whose choice it is. You're going to find Volchok and either kill him or get yourself killed? That's crazy, Ryan." I told him and he turned around.

"This conversation is over."

Seth and I shared a look before walking towards the door.

"Where are you two going?"

"If you're so hellbent on going after Volchok, I'm going with you." I told him and Seth nodded as well. "So am I."

"You two don't know what you're getting yourselves into."

I stared at Ryan for a moment before nodding. "Yes I do."

Ryan seemed to realize he wasn't leaving without us, so he sighed.

"Okay, but you two have to do everything I say."

I glanced at Seth who nodded. I nodded reluctantly as well.

"Alright, you're the boss. So where are we going?" Seth asked.

"Mexico."

Seth and I shared a worried look as Ryan walked determinedly out the door. We had to find a way to stop him from killing Volchok. But how?

As we drove to Mexico, I kept glancing at my brother. I just couldn't see him to be capable of murder. But then again, he had loved Marissa so much and seeing her killer would definitely enrage him. I barely knew that I could keep my own emotions in check around Volchok. It was going ton be tough, but I knew I had to let Volchok face justice and not vengeance.

I sat up in my seat as Ryan stopped at a small convenience store just outside the town of Enseneda.

"I'll be back."

Seth and I shared a look before Seth pulled out his cellphone. He quickly dialed a number and placed the phone to his ear.

"Hey, Dad, it's me."

"Hey." I heard Sandy say over the phone.

"Did you get my note? Ally and I had to write it in code in case Ryan found out."

"Right, the note." Sandy stated, although he didn't sound like he understood.

"Yeah, he says he's not going to do anything to Volchok." Seth stated.
