He eagerly opened his mouth, and our tongues locked together. I sucked on his tongue, instantly leaving him breathless.

His hand found its way to my chest. Since I was only in a towel, I pulled it off and tried to remove his shirt, but Alex grabbed my hand with one hand and pushed me away with the other.

I attempted to kiss him and push him under me, but he stopped me by placing his hands on my chest.

"Hold on," he said, sounding a little angry. My heart froze at the sight of his cold eyes.

I immediately looked away, straightening up and wrapping the towel around my lower body again.

"Leo," I was about to walk away when Alex grabbed my wrist. He stood up in front of me, but I didn't dare to raise my eyes to meet his.
I was scared he would figure out what was going on inside my head.

"Look at me," he commanded, grabbing my chin and pulling my face closer to his, but I still couldn't meet his eyes.

"Leo, I said look at me," his voice was sharp, and his grip on my face tightened suddenly, causing me pain, but I didn't flinch. Slowly, I met his gaze.

As our eyes met, he let out a sigh, and his shoulders relaxed. His cold eyes softened.

"Now tell me what's going on? Why didn't you react like this?" I felt like my throat was locked; I couldn't open my mouth.

I didn't know what to say. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before hugging him.

"I'm sorry," I could only apologize.

"Leo..." Alex tried to push me away, but I didn't let him and tightened my arms around him.

"Please, don't ask anything. I can't do it. Please try to understand me," I said.

I really wanted to share my pain with him, but I was scared. I knew he wouldn't judge me, but still, I couldn't. I knew he was disappointed in me; I knew he was hurt too, but I just couldn't.

Suddenly, silence filled the room as we remained in each other's arms.

After a while, Alex's body relaxed a little, and he said, "Alright, I won't ask anything."
I finally pulled away.

"Go take a shower. I'll get the food ready," he said, walking to the kitchen.

I watched him grab the food bag from the table and head to the kitchen. Then I gathered my clothes and went to the bathroom.

After my shower, I came out to find Alex sitting at the table, his slender fingers moving quickly over his phone screen.

I quietly pulled out a chair and sat down next to him. As soon as he sensed me, he immediately put his phone away.

We ate in silence, the only sound being his phone vibrating occasionally.

"Who's messaging you?" I finally broke the silence.

"It's nothing, just some friends asking to go out for drinks tonight," Alex replied indifferently.

I nodded and continued eating. After we finished, I gathered the empty dishes. While washing them, I felt Alex behind me.
He wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"Babe, let's go out," he whispered.

"Out? Where?" I asked as I washed and set the dishes aside.

"On a date," he said, surprising me. I hadn’t expected him to ask me out. Without thinking much, I nodded. His face lit up with happiness, and he suddenly kissed my neck.
