I threw my controller against the wall as the words Game Over flashed on the TV screen. I couldn't get past the level I was on, no matter what I did. I jumped as my controller got thrown back at me, hitting me square on the knee.

"Ow." I muttered, glaring at Ro. She glared back, baring her teeth.

"Maybe if you'd listen to me, you could win the game instead of being stubborn and breaking all your controllers." She rolled her eyes and continued painting her nails, this time a bubblegum pink color.

"I don't need your help. I'll figure it out. I'm close anyways." I grumbled. Ro was about to retaliate when the door swung open. One of the butlers stepped out, Jeffrey.

"Prince Keefe, you have guests." I perked up immediately. No one ever came to visit me, and I was really hoping it was my friends.

"Okay, thank you!" I sprinted past him and down the main stairs, seeing Tam, Biana, and Sophie at the bottom.

That was pretty weird, I couldn't think of a single reason that group would visit me. I mean, I could always imagine different reasons Sophie would come visit me, but why would the others come? Maybe they're kidnapping me?

"Hey guys." I said, walking down the last few stairs. "What's up?"

Biana and Sophie locked eyes before the former shoved the latter towards me. I grabbed her arms to steady her as she stumbled. When I pulled her up, her face was slightly red. Probably embarrassed about tripping, but it was okay. I thought it was cute.

"What's going on?" I repeated, hoping someone would actually answer. Sophie blushed again and looked down shyly. It really wasn't like her, so I was really questioning what was going on, and if something was wrong. Was it Noah? Was he bothering her again?

"I have something I need to tell you." She was quiet when she said it. I was really concerned. If someone was hurting her, I'd hurt them back twice as hard.

She turned to look at Tam and Biana, who both smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up (Tam too, surprisingly), then walked out the front door. Weird.

"Okay, I don't really know how to say this-"

"If someone's hurting you, you can just tell me. I'll get them to stop." I told her. She seemed pretty awkward, so I was assuming it'd be better if I just got to the point. Her eyes widened.

"No! No, that's not it. No one's hurting me. You already handled that. This is something else." She laughed, more like awkwardly chuckled, then looked up to meet my eyes.

"Okay so I still don't really know how to say this so don't, don't judge." She cleared her throat and took a deep breath. "I was playing Truth or Dare with Tam and Biana and I told them something then they told me something, so I'm kinda just shooting my shot here. I like you. Like, like like you. You know, like, like like." She shook her head, like shaking off that line of thought, then continued.

"I think I've liked you all along actually, but I didn't know it. Then Noah showed up and he was acting to me like how you would act, but he was being so showy with his feelings and I guess I was just thinking if I couldn't have you, he was pretty close. Now I know he was just faking, but the point still stands. I was starting to get a few feelings for him, the part of me that liked your goofy personality liked his too. And when he asked me out, it was easier for my feelings to come to the surface. Also I think it was partially because I liked him less than I liked you, and I tend to bury strong feelings for, um, yeah. So I noticed my feelings for him easier.

"And with my feelings for you, I've basically just been... gaslighting, I guess? Gaslighting myself into thinking you were like a brother to me and I was like a sister to you. And if you see me that way it's okay, sorry for this whole long rant, but I'm really hoping Biana and Tam were right and I'm not just completely ruining our friendship right now. I really cherish our friendship and I wouldn't want to trade it for anything, but if there's a chance we could be something more I really want to take it, because I really like-"
