Sophie Foster was a girl everybody loved, but nobody knew that it was her. The person they loved was Moonlark, the world famous singer and songwriter. She's joined on stage by her cousin, Dex Dizznee, as Techno. They're used to thei...
"Did they say anything about your powers that could help us?" I asked Sophie, in the middle of an open field out in the country. It was only us and Ro, who was sworn to secrecy about anything she saw and heard. I trusted her though, which helped Sophie to trust her.
I was keeping up on my promise to Sophie to help her test her powers out, which was more to me a promise to help her with anything she would ever need. I'd always try to be there for her, superpowers or no.
She'd been reluctant at first, but quickly gave into my begging (I had been a little curious to see what awesome things my girlfriend could do). We decided to meet out in the field, away from everyone, so that she wouldn't have to be scared of hurting people. Though I knew she was still scared of hurting me.
"No, they didn't tell me anything. I didn't even know this was what they were trying to do. They just said it wasn't 'triggering,' I had no idea what they meant." I nodded.
"So we just look up different powers and see if it works." I was almost jumping from excitement, but Sophie groaned. "Hey, it's not gonna be that bad. You're in Hunkyhair's care after all." She smiled a bit, but still looked worried and entirely reserved.
It was weird, seeing her so not... herself. She'd acted so outgoing and unserious and courageous for as long as I'd known her, I didn't even think something traumatic could change that. It changes everyone, though, and she was no exception. I don't care, if she's suddenly quiet and shy, I just love her, and I want her to be okay. I would always protect her.
"Let's get started." I grinned.

After about twenty minutes of intense googling, we came up with a hefty list of every single power we could find. We both knew it would take way longer to go through all of them, but we had the rest of the day and were ready.
"Okay, let's start with fire." I knew she could see my eyes gleaming, how much I wanted her to be able to shoot fire, but I held back from saying anything.
I watched her concentrate, her eyes cutely squeezed shut, but nothing happened. Not even the temperature rose.
"Try some different ways, anything you can think of to make it happen." I stood there for another minute, seeing her face change and hands clench and unclench, only for nothing to still happen.
"It's not gonna happen." She told me. "You can check that one off."
We spent about ten minutes trying different elemental types of powers with no success. So, I moved onto the basics.
"Try to fly."
Her face scrunched up to the point she looked like she was constipated (but it was still cute), even when her feet came off the ground and she hovered, a foot off the ground. Her eyes cracked open slightly, widening in shock seeing the ground so much farther below her. She shot up more in her surprise and I couldn't help it, I screamed in fear, rushing beneath her. If she fell, I'd be ready.
