Chapter 6

Commander Cody POV

I got back on my feet and looked to my side where I saw General Tano unconscious on the ground.

Cody: Dammit.

I muttered, knowing that I can't leave her on the battlefield but also knowing that I can't waste more time in the middle of this war, since the constant bombings could kill me at any moment.

My rifle was broken, so no chance of me killing any clankers.

Talking about clankers...I looked forward and saw them advancing, all the bombing wasn't enough to truly push them back, since there were just too damn many of them.

The Y-Wings made a turn and flew back behind our defense line.

Cody: Hey! Y-Wings, where the hell are you going?

"We need to reload, we wasted all our projectiles."

One of the pilots responded.

Cody: Already? But your engagement has just started!

"We're sorry, Commander. But we gave the clankers everything we had. Please wait for our reload, we'll be back in about 30 minutes."

Cody: 30 minutes?! There's no shot we'll survive the clankers for that long!

"You still have a lot of ground reinforcements, Commander."

Cody: They won't do shit.

"Captain Rex has also been deployed, he is backed by heavy cavalry."

Cody: Crap...tell him to get his ass over here immediately.

I felt like someone was watching me, and I could see a silhouette from the corner of my eye.

I turned my head to look who it was and took a step back when I realized it was Y/N.

He just stood there and looked at me, unfazed by the massive bombardment that he just received from our Y-Wings.

Cody: How did you...that's not possible...

Y/N: You're the commander of this army?

Cody: Yes, I am.

Y/N: How many commanders does your army have?

Cody: Only me.

Since Rex was a captain and Ahsoka was the general, I was the only commander.

Y/N: In that case you'll have to fight me, one on one.

Cody: I have no weapons on me, but you know what? I'll beat your ass anyway.

Y/N: Don't worry about weapons.

He struck his daggers into the ground.

Y/N: I don't have any either.

He said as he turned off the device that made him invincible.

Y/N: That's as fair as it can get.

Cody: Alright, let's fuck each other up then.

I ran up to him and took a swing, my fist landing straight in his face made him smile in enjoyment.

Cody: What the fuck are you smiling for?

Y/N: I can't remember the last time someone dared to hit me in the face. You're bold, I like that.

Cody: Too bad this won't be the last time someone hits you in the face.

I swung a second time but this time my fist was caught by his left hand.

Y/N: Now you're becoming insolent. Don't forget who I am.
