Chapter 9

Ahsoka POV

We were residing on Agamar and building up the planet's defenses for over a week now.

No sign of anything changing in the near future, this is why it surprised me so much when a Republic Gunship landed in front of the capital's gates.

I immediately walked out of the town to face whoever was inside that gunship, this couldn't be good.

Two Jedi stepped out of the gunship, they were both members of the High Council.

Adi Gallia and Even Piell, never really had much contact with them, so it surprised me that they came for me.

Ahsoka: Masters.

I greeted them with a bow.

Adi: Ahsoka, what are you doing here?

Ahsoka: Captain Rex told me to evacuate, and get here since it's relatively safe here.

Even: Captain Rex told you that? We ordered him to take you back to the temple.

Ahsoka: He must've deemed your order as illogical.

Adi: Where is the Captain now?

Ahsoka: He remained on Kashyyyk to keep fighting for the Wookies.

Even's head sunk.

Even: Which means he's most likely dead.

Ahsoka: Why? Did the clankers manage to overrun our troops?

Adi: Much worse. Both sides were forced to retreat since the crash of the Venator caused a large forest fire which spread too quickly for us to handle.

Ahsoka: You guys don't have some water throwers?

Adi: Not on Kashyyyk.

Ahsoka: Why didn't you bring it over there then?

Even: Because there's no way we could've helped the Wookies.

Ahsoka: So their planet is burning and we're just watching?

Adi: The clankers left, so we did too. We promised them to help against the clankers, not against a wildfire.

Ahsoka: So we achieved absolutely nothing on Kashyyyk?

Adi: This was your operation. You were the General and it looks like you're too incompetent to lead an army.

Ahsoka: Oh hell no, you can't blame me on this, that was not my goddamn fault.

Another ship approached our position which made the guards aim their rifles at it.

I never saw this kind of ship before so I was wary as well.

Barriss: What kind of flying junk is that?

She asked as she came up from behind me.

Ahsoka: No idea.

The gate of that huge ship opened and a Wookie came out that I immediately recognized.

Ahsoka: Chewbacca?

He was followed by a man, who wasn't a Separatist nor a Jedi.

Chewbacca growled at us and I was the only one who understood what he said.

Ahsoka: He's upset that we left his people hanging.

"Would you look at that, and I thought I was the only one who understood Chewie."

The brown haired man said with a smirk.

Ahsoka: Who are you?

"Call me Han...or Hun."
