Chapter 16

I blocked Maul's hits with both of my sabers but was pushed back by the impact of his swings.

He was stronger than I thought but that only made things more interesting.

His fighting made it clear that he mastered the art of the double bladed lightsaber.

Maul: You're weaker than I thought.

He mocked as he picked up the pace and doubled the amount of hits, none of which got through my defense.

I wasn't truly able to get a hit on him as I was too focused to block his hits and survive this onslaught.

Maul: Give up, Harkonnen! Nobody is going to remember you anyway!

This fight went on for a few minutes and that's when his seemingly unlimited stamina began to fade.

Just when I thought I could strike him, he pushed me away from him with a powerful force push.

Maul: You're nothing!

He approached me but that's when someone ran through the gate and shouted at Maul to drop his weapon.

"Darth Maul, you're under arrest for the assassination of Oppo Rancisis, Yarael Poof and Saesee Tiin. Drop your weapon immediately!"

The Jedi demanded as three other Jedi emerged from the open gate behind him.

Maul: You think you can arrest me, Jedi? I can do whatever I please.

Ahsoka: You need to kill him, he's too dangerous to be left alive!

Her comment made the Jedi look over to her.

"Ahsoka? You're alive...We were looking for you!"

Ahsoka: I'm alright.

She slowly tried to stand up but dropped to the ground.

"You need a medic, we-"

Maul lightsaber slashed through him before returning to Maul's hand.

"Depa, no!"

One of the other Jedi yelled before they all ran up to Maul and encircled him.

I used this opportunity to get over to Ahsoka.

Ahsoka: You need to help them.

Y/N: Maul's too strong we won't be able to kill him here. Let's get away as long as we can.

Ahsoka: But we can't just run-

Y/N: Yes, we can!

I protested in an angry whisper before I picked her up and ran out of the ritual room, hearing the lightsabers clashing behind us.

As we got out of the building, I saw another ship next to the wreck of Dooku's ship that we used.

Ahsoka: He destroyed our goddamn ship! We should take the Jedi Starfighters.

She proposed, pointing at the small fighters nearby.

Y/N: No, we'll take his ship.

I decided as I ran over to the extended ramp of his ship and rushed through the open gate.

There was a droid inside the ship but Ahsoka took care of him with a swift saber strike while still being in my arms.

I sat her down on the copilot seat as I started the ship up and closed the gate after rolling in the ramp.

Ahsoka: Where are we heading to now?

She asked as the ship left the ground.

Y/N: Somewhere quiet.

I looked at one of the ship's cameras and saw Maul looking at us from outside.

His saber was burning in an aggressive red and his robe was soaked in blood.

Ahsoka shook her head when she saw the footage.

Ahsoka: Too many Jedi died because of this monster.

Y/N: You knew them? The ones that stormed the ritual room I mean.

I asked as the ship sped up and left Dathomir.

Ahsoka: Yes, Depa Billaba, Coleman Trebor, Quinlan Vos and Jocasta Nu. He killed 7 high ranked Jedi already, we can't let him continue doing so.

Y/N: He has been powered up by the Nightsisters, now with them gone, his powers will slowly fade.

Ahsoka: He will hunt us until either we die or he does.

Y/N: That's alright. We'll find a way to kill him.

Ahsoka: Does our plan still stand? Us killing Jabba I mean.

Y/N: Of course. It has gotten much easier now.

Ahsoka: How so?

Y/N: Maul's ship will do most of the work.

Ahsoka: It's even bigger than Dooku's ship and I don't think Jabba trusts Maul nearly as much as he trusts Dooku. Getting close to him will be difficult.

Y/N: This ship has the ability to turn itself invisible.

Ahsoka: You're kidding me.

Y/N: I'm not. We'll be able to sneak up to Jabba's palace and kill him before he even knows we're there.

Ahsoka: That sure sounds like a plan.

Y/N: And this ship also has a medic droid who can help you with your leg.

Ahsoka: It's not the one I killed earlier, right?

Y/N: No, it's a different one in a small room to the right, I'll carry you over there.

Ahsoka: You can't just leave this ship floating around in the middle of space.

I pushed a button and pulled on a lever which made everything go quiet and turned this ship invisible.

Ahsoka: Woah...why doesn't the Republic have stuff like this?

Y/N: This is a one of a kind ship, so I don't think the Confederacy has more of these.

Ahsoka: I sure hope so.

I brought her over to the medical room and let her down on the recliner.

Droid: Lord Rautha, do you need my medical expertise?

Y/N: I don't but she does.

He scanned Ahsoka and his eyes turned red.

Droid: The subject is a Jedi, we got infiltrated!

Y/N: She's with the Confederacy now. She's one of us.

His eyes turned back to white.

Droid: I apologize, I will change her files after I fix her up. I see her leg needs to be fixed, the flesh wound is deep and an easy target for an infection. I'm injecting anesthesia, I have to ask you to leave the room, Lord Rautha.

I followed his demands and left them alone after giving Ahsoka a nod which she returned.

As I sat back on the pilot seat, a Jedi Starfighter flew past us with a crazy amount of speed.

It was one of the Starfighters that were left behind on Dathomir, which means Maul was inside of it and already picked up the pursuit.
