Chapter 8

Captain Rex POV

I landed somewhere in a Kashyyyk forest, my parachute got stuck in the trees, so I used Ahsoka's lightsaber to cut me free.

After I crashed to the ground, I heard steps approaching, I looked up and saw droids marching up to me.

"Captain Rex, surrender right now."

The droids ordered as they aimed their blasters at me.

Rex: Calm down guys, I'm not your enemy.

"Actually, you-"

The saber slashed through all four of them, cutting them in two.

"Tsk tsk tsk."

I looked to my left and saw a tall, bald man, dressed in all black approaching me.

Rex: Shit...

I whispered, realizing who it was.

Y/N: Faking a surrender, aren't we?

Rex: I don't want to fight.

Y/N: We don't have to. But you're my enemy which means I have to take you as a prisoner of war.

Rex: I'm no longer your enemy.

Y/N: Switching sides?

Rex: My general threw me out of my own gunship, luckily I landed safely.

Y/N: Who's your general?

Rex: Ahsoka Tano, I believe you two have already met.

Y/N: We did. I didn't know she was capable of doing something like this.

Rex: Talking about capable, what about the battle, who's winning? Or is someone winning at all?

Y/N: The crashed Venator destroyed a huge portion of both sides, the droids have the upper hand on the clones, they're pretty much massacring your brothers. The Wookies are still putting up a fight, let's see for how long.

Rex: You really want to take this planet?

Y/N: Not anymore. It's not worth years of guerilla warfare.

Rex: What's your plan then?

Y/N: Finding your general and take her out of the game.

Rex: Why do you want her?

Y/N: She's the one responsible for this battle, if she's out, maybe the Republic will drop this hopeless battle and both armies can leave without further losses.

Rex: That's exactly what I've been saying. I tried to talk some sense into her, told her that this is hopeless, but instead of listening, she threw me out of the ship.

Y/N: She wants to keep supporting the bears?

Rex: She does, she claims we'll help this planet to our last clone.

Y/N: What's your name?

Rex: I'm Captain Rex, second in command of this operation...for now.

Y/N: What will you do now, Rex?

Rex: I will surrender to you and ask you to take me into your ranks.

I kneeled in front of him and reached my hands out to him, holding Ahsoka's lightsaber for him to take.

He took the lightsaber and asked me.

Y/N: How does it feel to cut someone in half with this tool?

Rex: I'm sure you will find out soon, sir.

Y/N: Soon, yes...Very soon.

He activated the lightsaber and swiftly cut through my neck with one single movement, dropping my head to the ground.
