I found myself staring at Joe more then the movie he picked out. If I'm being honest, I don't remember what he even picked. He noticed and placed his hand on my thigh. "Any plans for next weekend?"
My eyes moved to his hand. "Not that I know of. Why?" His signature smile pierced my lungs making it hard to breathe. "We should hang out. I have a show but we can work around it."
"Can I come to the show?"
I watched as his face lit up. "Of course. It's in Texas, though. But you can fly with us and I'll get you a room." He wasted no time pulling out his phone and booking me a suite at the hotel they were staying at. "Thank you. How much do I owe you?"
His eyes caught mine. "Just tell me you'll let me take you out on a proper date while we're there and you can consider us even."

The sun was peaking through the window, shining directly onto Joe. His conditioned curls laid perfectly as he continued to sleep with a slight smile on his face. I rolled over and checked my phone to find a text from my sister letting me know that she had left to meet up with her friends for brunch and she'd be back in a few hours. Reading that made my stomach growl so I got up and brushed my teeth before heading to the kitchen. Every cabinet in this apartment was nearly too tall for me so I grabbed a chair, and steadied myself on it in hopes that I'd find waffle mix. Zoned out, I started thinking about making breakfast for two without even knowing whether Joe would want to stay or not.

"What are you doing?" Startled, I slipped off the chair bracing myself to feel pain within the next few moments. Joe, however, had other plans. In his arms, I looked up, breaking my thoughts and showed Joe the mix. "Waffles and bacon." He smiled at me and steadied me on the floor. "Need any help?" I shook my head. "Not currently, but thank you." His hand brushed against mine as he tucked my curls behind my ear. "Lex, can I say something?" I was mesmerized by his entire being, all I could do was nod.

A knock interrupted him, making us both frown.

I opened the door to find Nick and Kevin.

"Hey, Lex. Funny story. We have a show in Texas in a few days and the fans found out which hotel we were going to stay at. Would you mind coming with us and booking it in your name? I looked around the small apartment, my eyes setting on Joe. They were unaware that I was already going. Was I about to be stuck with him, his brothers, and our unspoken feelings for the next few days?
