"Thanks again for letting us stay with you." Nick ran the towel through his damp curls as he sat down on the couch next to me. The suite that Joe booked was spacious and had enough room for the 4 of us, easily.

"No problem. Glad I could help you." His eyes wandered to my fidgeting hands. "Are you alright?" I nodded and looked around the room. "This is all still new. The celebrity lifestyle you guys live." His attention was on his phone, but he remained in the conversation. "Well, Joe really likes you. And we really like you for Joe. So I hope the adjustment is smooth." I shook my head and sat up. "Joe and I are friends." His laugh filled the room. "If you're friends, so are Priyanka and I."

Tonight was the concert and since the boys got ready at the arena, I had the room to myself. Kevin's extra guitars were lined up on the wall, Nick's shoes laid neatly at the end of the bed, and Joe's cologne filled the room. My phone rang unexpectedly and I searched the room for it. Unsaved caller. "Hello?"

"Hey, Lex. It's Jarad."

Jarad was my ex. We didn't end on the worst terms. But they weren't good either. He left the state for a job and broke up with me once he got there because the distance was too much. "Why are you calling me?"

I heard him let out a deep sigh. "I was just thinking about you and wanted to check on you." Our memories flooded my brain. A smile formed on my face before I shook myself out of my thoughts. "I'm great. Actually, right now, I really have to go. But I hope you're doing well."

The last thing I need is Jarad interfering with my current whatever I have with Joe.

I scrambled to get ready and rushed out of the door.

The boys had killed the show as usual and Joe made sure they sang "Video Girl" because it was the song I liked most back in the day. I took a look at the pictures I took from tonight and placed my phone on Joe's charger.

I went into the bathroom to shower and change into pajamas as the boys started to wind down from the show. Their idea of winding down was playing more music but at a softer tone.

Joe's POV:

Nick and I were harmonizing as Kevin pulled out his guitar. "Joe, voice record this." I looked down at my phone, realizing it was dead. "We gotta use your phone. Mine is dead. Let me plug it in."

I walked over to see Lex's phone on my charger and tapped her screen to see if it was fully charged yet so I could switch them.
