Chapter 21...

Julia's P.O.V

As chatter between Ben, James, Amy, and Isabelle seemed to cease, Ben stood up.

"We gotta go, it's getting late" Ben said looking at his watch, "It's 10pm".

"Yeah" Amy said standing up too.

"Stay the night guys" James said standing up.

"No man. Tomorrow is the big day. We're moving finally" Ben said pulling Amy to side.

My eyes widened in surprise, "You're moving tomorrow? You guys didn't tell me" I said with a pout.

"Well, if you haven't been busy" Ben said nodding towards Ryder and I, "You would've noticed" he finished with a smirk.

"Hey! I haven't been busy" I said in defense causing Ryder to turn his head towards me and raise one eyebrow.

I put both my hand on my face in embarrassment as they all laughed around me including Ryder.

"C'mon, c'mon we gotta go" Ben said waving his hand towards the door.

Amy and Isabelle hugged. Ben and James shook hands. I turn towards Ryder and my face flushed when I saw him looking down at me.

I gotta stop blushing if we are gonna see each other often.

Ryder put his hand on my waist and pulled me to him. He kissed the corner of my mouth causing me smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" he said with a smile.

"Umm i'll see, as like Ben and Amy are moving tomorrow" I said causing him to pout.

Ugh stop being so cute.

I smiled at his sad face and kissed his cheek.

I let go of his hand and literally ran out of the kitchen to the front door where Ben and Amy were waiting for me.I said my goodbyes to James and Isabelle and walked out of the house with Ben and Amy to the car. We got in and as Ben reversed the car out of the drive way Ryder came out and stood beside James. James gave him a pat on the shoulder and said something causing Ryder to look down.

I wonder what did he tell him.

Ben took a turn out of the neighborhood and started on the road. I looked up and saw him looking at me in the rear view mirror.

"What?" I said smiling as he kept staring at me.

"You and Ryder look really cute" he said smiling slyly.

"Ben" I said my face scrunching up weirdly, "Are we seriously going to take about that?".

Ben and Amy laughed and didn't say anything thankfully.

"Oh, Julia" Amy said turning around in her seat to look at me, "Are coming tomorrow with us to the house for the first tour?".

I thought back to what Ryder said about meeting tomorrow but felt bad as I've been waiting forever to see their house.

I sighed, "Yeah okay, I'm coming".

"Alright" she said clapping her hands excitedly, "I can't wait for you to see it. Everything is ready; furniture and all. We'll just be taking our clothes with us tomorrow which are also packed".

I smiled feeling genuinely happy for them, "That's great. I'm really excited".

Amy said nothing else and the conversation ended. I laid my head on the window and thought back to what happened today. My chest tightened thinking back to Ryder's pained face telling me about his past. Although he didn't say much but he looked so pained telling me that little part. I can't imagine how the rest of the story will sound like. The tightening in my chest eased a bit as I remembered how sweet he was to me when I told him about my dad.I breathed in deeply.
