Chapter 3...
Julia's P.O.V.
I stirred around in bed dreading the moment I open my eyes and it won't be summer anymore. I squeezed my eyes tight before opening them, hoping it would still be summer but I knew it wouldn't.
I sat up straight stretching my arms. I reached for my iPhone that was on my night stand. "6:30 am, don't wanna be late for the first day of school" I said to myself.
I looked to the other side of the bed and picked up the book, 'Beautiful disaster' that I fell asleep reading.
"This is one hell of a book" I said to myself placing it on my nightstand.
I got up and went to the bathroom. I did my business, brushed my teeth and washed my face. I then got dressed in a pair of jean shorts, a white flowy button-down shirt and my white high-top converse. I braided my hair to the back, taking out little strand from the front. As I started applying my foundation, I felt sudden hunger, it felt like emptiness. No wonder I feel empty, I ate nothing yesterday I thought to myself, as I applied the rest of my make up: mascara, eyeliner, bronzer, rose pink blush, and light pink lip gloss.
I got a text from Jack:
Breakfast at your place or mine? it said.
My place :) I replied.
Jack and I would always have breakfast together the first day of school. It was a tradition that Jai started, and we decided to keep it after he passed away.
I checked my bag for all my school supplies, then put my headphones in my pocket and slid my phone in the other. I walked slowly and carefully down the stairs not to wake up anyone this early.
I opened the door for Jack and we headed straight to the kitchen.
"Good morning" Jack said smiling,
"Morning" I replied covering my mouth as I yawned.
"I can't believe school's starting today" he sighed as he sat on one of the stools.
"Tell me about it, I can brag for hours" I said rolling my eyes.
"Anyways eggs or pancakes" I asked him.
"Umm, eggs, n-no no pancakes" he said grinning.
I giggled at the fact that he couldn't make up his mind about what to eat.
"Here you go" I said to Jack as I handed him a stack of hot pancakes. I chuckled at the way he was staring at them.
"Good morning" Blake said in his morning voice and only wearing boxers.
"Good morning" both Jack and I said at the same time.
"Can I have some please?" he asked politely.
"Wow, you're surprisingly polite, did you sleep well?" I teased grinning and Jack chuckling, "And sure thing" I continued.
We ate our pancakes, chitchatting a bit and drank our OJ.
"C'mon! Go get dressed Blake. We don't wanna be late" I ordered, loading the dishwasher with the dirty dishes.
It took Blake 15 minutes to get dressed, but it felt like an hour.
"It's about time, it's freaking 7:45" I said pointing at my watch.
"Chill sis, school starts at 8:15 and it's only ten minutes away from here by car" he said trying to calm me down.
We got into Jack's car and drove away from the house.
