Chapter 11

Julia’s P.O.V

I breathed a sigh of relieve once I was out the school gate. Ben was already there waiting in the car so I walked over there and went in.

“Hi” I said when I settled in place.

“Hey” he said looking at me.

“I’m sorry I meant to call you but it totally slipped my mind” I said with a small smile.

“It’s alright” he said.

We settled into a comfortable silence, just like it always has been.

“When are you guys going to your house? It’s been on my mind to ask you” I blurted out breaking the silence.

“Oh. We’ve postponed it. Amy wanted to add some extra things” he said smiling at the thought of her.

“Oh okay. Good luck with that” I said smiling.

5 minutes later we were safely parked in the driveway.

“I still have to go back and help in the bakery. It’s a busy day” he said, “And by the way Amy’s not in the house. She’s out with her friends, and Blake is staying over at his friend’s. So you have the house all for yourself” he said winking at the end.

I looked at him weirdly, “what do you mean by that?” I asked raising and eyebrow.

“You know.. if you wanna invite any friends.. like Ryderrr…” he said smiling slyly.

I slapped his arm and smiled triumphantly when he cried out.

“Okay. Okay. I’m sorry” he said laughing.

“Bye” I said laughing at the sight of him laughing.

I closed and door with the sigh and ran up the stairs to my room. I dropped my things and changed into comfortable clothes and went downstairs to get a snack. I settled down on the couch with my fruit salad and flipped through the channels and settled on some reality show.

I was shaken awake from my sleep by my phone ringing.

Wow. I actually slept.

“Hello?” I said my voice sleepy.

“Hi Julia, You alright?” said mom on the other end.

“Yeah.. Hi.. Mom. I slept” I said my voice full sleep. (not literally though)

“Oh sorry I interrupted you. I just wanted to tell you I’ll be a little late, it’s really busy today.” She said.

“Yeah okay, do you want me to come over and help?” I said.

“No, it’s alright sweetie, I have enough help here. I gotta go now, bye babe” she said sounding like she’s in a hurry.

“Okay. Bye Mum” I said and hung up.

I stood up from the couch and stretched the grabbed my phone from the couch and looked at the time.

6:35.

Fucking shit.

Zack.

I ran up the stairs and literally jumped into the shower and had the quickest shower without washing my hair. I went out dried myself, put on some undergarments, and then wore high waisted jeans and a white crop top. I added little touches of makeup, grabbed my phone and denim jacket and ran down the stairs.

I started jogging straight to the restaurant. I was damn well lucky that the restaurant was a 10 minute walk from my house. It would probably take me 5 minutes if I jogged.
