Chapter 12...
Julia’s P.O.V
I stood at my locker the next day surrounded by Emily, Sophia, and Jack.
“So, how was it?” Jack said, smiling slyly.
“How was what?” i said with a frown not getting what he meant.
“You know” he said with a wink, “the date?”
“Yes. Yes” said Emily and Sophia in unison.
“As if i didn’t call you guys yesterday and tell you everything” i said rolling my eyes.
“But that was on the phone” Sophia said with whine, “it’s different face to face”.
“Are you serious now?” i said with a chuckle.
“Ye-“ she was cut off by the bell.
“Oops?” I said with a shrug.
“You’re telling us everything in the lunch break” she said sternly pointing a finger in my face, “Or else..”
“Okay, okay. Chill” i said with a laugh.
“I’ll see you guys later” Jake said waving and walking away.
Sophia, Emily, and I said our goodbyes and headed to our classes.
*Lunch Break*
I walked into the cafeteria with Jake on my side and we headed towards the table Emily and Sophia were sat on.
I didn’t even take a seat and Sophia blurted out excitedly “So, c’mon tell us what happened”.
“Oh God” I said, “i’ll go get my lunch first” i said about to turn around.
“No! I got you yours” she said smiling and pushing the tray towards me, “Now sit” she said.
“Okayyy” I said extending the y in the end.
“So..” Emily said smiling.
I launched into the story, telling them everything in detail, or else I’d get smacked because I’m moving on quickly.
When i was almost done, a group of girls squealed from the table beside us.
I looked over to where they where looking and saw Zack and his little group heading over to Ryder’s table.
Okayyyy.
Suddenly they became best friends?
I mean they talked a bit when Ryder first came to the school but that was it. I’d see Ryder sitting alone on a table at the end of the cafeteria.
I was cut off from my thoughts by Sophia.
“Why is Zack going over to Ryder?” Sophia asked still looking their way.
“I don’t know” I said looking their but then looking back to my friends as they all turned to look at me.
“Isn’t he your boyfriend you should know” said Jake.
“By boyfriend you mean Ryder or Zack?” said Emily and then laughing.
Jake and Sophia soon joined Emily and i was just sat there blushing.
I caught Ryder looking my way couple times and he looked mad.
Oh god.
I remembered i had to return the book i borrowed last week from library and there were 5 minutes till the bell rings.
So i stood up, the thoughts of Ryder going out the window.
Emily, Sophia and Jake were calming down from their hysteric fit.
“I have to return a book to the library before the bell rings. So i’ll see you later guys” i said.
“Do you want me to come with you?” Jake said with smile.
“No, it’s alright” I said patting his shoulder.
“Okay” he said.
“Okay. Byeee” I said waving towards them and heading towards the door.
I walked out and was about to go down the stairs when a voice called.
“Julia”
I turned around and Ryder was standing there.
What is he doing here?
“Y-yeah?” i said hesitantly, and i was met with silence.
I looked at Ryder's face to see any kind of expression.
"You went out with Zack?" He asked clenching his fist, "and you kissed him?" His tone filled with rage.
"W-What?" I asked my eyes widening.
"Don't act Dumb" he said his eye twitching.
"I-I'm not a-acting dumb." i said my voice just above a whisper.
"Then answer my question" he said his voice hardening, "Yes you did or you no you didn't".
"Y-Yes i d-did" i said stuttering.
"After we kissed? Did it mean anything to you?" He said, his eyes showing anger.
"I-I you said it meant nothing to y-you" I said feeling the tears fill my eyes.
"Slut" he said very quietly.
"E-excuse me?" I asked leaning towards him.
"You. Are. A. Slut." he said emphasising each word.
"Y-you're calling me a s-slut because i-i kissed a g-guy once?" i said my voice fading into a whisper as my tears spilled.
He just stood there not saying a single word.
"Y-you shouldn't be talking, no one knows if you killed that guy or not" I said my voice sounding as if I've come from a race, but regretting the words that came out of my mouth, but I didn't take them back.
His face showed rage as his jaw clenched, his knuckles became white from how tight he held his fists and his eyes were on fire. But then his face relaxed and his eyes showed sorrow and sadness as tears filled them. He was hurt by my words.
"Yeah you're right you don't know and you know what? you'll never know because you judge people way to fast" he spat, each word dropping with venom.
I wanted to call out to him, to tell him I believed him, that I didn't mean what I said, but the words were stuck in my throat. He looked at me one last time as if not believing he was saying these words to me and stormed into the lunch room leaving me there as i started crying again.
