"After graduation, you boys will be going to Russia, and train for your roles. Nikolai will also be attending since he will be pakhan after his father retires." My dad says and I shrug. "Okay? What's the big deal."
"What's the but" Dimitri speaks up sitting straighter. Dad looks at me and sighs. "You boys will be gone for two years, no contact. Only way we can contact you is through letters. You will learnt the basic skills of survival in our type of world. Me and Nikolai's dad attended this training camp."
Two. Fucking. years. What about Cynthia. "I'm sorry what? First of Dimitri doesn't do violence why does he have to go?" Suddenly I feel dread for what's going to come for Dimitri.
"He won't only be trained for combat he will also be taught more into the cyber world. We'll talk more about this later on it's still early I just wanted to warn you guys." We nod and Dimitri gets up and walks out. I follow him to his room and sit next to him on his bed.
"I'll be there to protect you don't worry." I say and he smiles. "Alek I'm not a little kid anymore I think I can throw my own punches now." He's right, but I don't feel great about this.
"Let's go out yeah? Take our minds of this." Dimitri says and I nod we head into town I'm talking to Dimitri as he window shops. It's almost Friendsgiving no matter how much I tried to convince Dimitri to attend he said no.
"I hang out with you guys all the time. Besides it's not actual thanksgiving, don't be mad alek. I'll be there Christmas." I sighed and gave up.
"Fine, but I expect a full course meal by you for thanksgiving." Dimitri is an amazing cook, I don't know why we have that evil lady as our cook when my brother is ten times better at it.
We went home and I see Cynthia sitting on the couch watching tv. "Hey guys your dad said you both went out for sibling bonding time. How cute. He said I can wait for you guys here."
I sat down with cynthia and she laid her legs over my lap. Dimitri gagged and then went upstairs. Five minutes later he came down in sweats and a blanket,
"You didn't get me a blanket?" He looked at me and rolled his eyes looking back at the show. "Get it yourself you lazy fuck." I gasped and threw a pillow at him as Cynthia laughed.
I flicked him off on the way to my room to get my favorite blanket, I'm coming down the stairs when I see Dimitri wiping his face and Cynthia sobs into her hands.
"What happened?" Dimitri clears his throat, and Cynthia points to the tv trying to form a sentence but cries even more. "George was 007." Dimitri says sadly and gasp.
Greys anatomy was our show. All three of us watched it together on sundays. Dad walks in and freezes. "Who died?" We all looked at him "George." We all said at the same time and my dad walks away muttering something.
"That episode was so sad I can't" Cynthia says as she sniffles. "I think that's enough greys for me." Dimitri says and stretches.
He heads up to his room and me and Cynthia go to mine. I have to tell her, I hope she doesn't get too sad. I hate seeing her sad. My girl deserves all the happiness in the world.
"Darling, we need to talk." She stiffens and looks at me. "Look I don't.." she interrupted me by standing up.
"Are you breaking up with me?" She Says and I stand up shocked by what she said. "No why would you think that?" She sighs in relief and then smacks my chest.
"Oww what was that for." I look at Cynthia who sits back down on my bed. "Alek you started off by saying, we need to talk, look I don't... do you know how that sounds like!" I laugh and hug her to my chest.
"I'm sorry my love. It's about summer though. After graduation I have to go to Russia. We'll all three boys. We need to train for our roles into the Russian mafia." Cynthia hums in thought.
"But the thing is I won't be able to call you the only way for contact is through letters. And I'll be gone for two years." She freezes and looks at me. "Two years?" She whispers and I nod.
"Look I know it's a long time and if you don't want to do this we can.." she shuts me up by kissing me. "No we're not leaving each other. I'll wait for you always amore." She kisses me again and I'm relieved she took it well.
"I'll go to Italy with my mother side of the family this summer." She says and I nod taking in how gorgeous she is. Her hair grew back just like she manifested, I don't know how I got so lucky to have Cynthia.
"What do I have something on my face?" She says and looks embarrassed. I gave her a soft smile. "No. I just love you. It physically hurts." She blushed and laid her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and sigh. This is what I enjoy, the little moments with Cynthia.
I love When she lets her guard down around me and lets herself be loved. My beautiful girl has overcome some hardships in her life and I'm so proud of the woman she's becoming. I know her mother is proud of her along with Olivia.
"I'm going to miss you but I'll write to you every day." She whispers and before I know it she's fast asleep. I think I might actually go insane without Cynthia. Maybe it's unhealthy the amount of time we're together but I don't care. I cannot breathe or think clearly when I'm not with her.
When she woke up she decided to go shopping, I secretly loved shopping with Cynthia. I was witness to her little fashion shows and I could spoil her all I wanted.
She gets her new clothes and I get to see that smile on her face, it's a win win situation for both of us.
