The holidays passed quickly. And now we're all submerged in finals and senior activities. Summer's around the corner and I can't help but feel anxious at the thought that the guys are leaving us soon.

We made quite the friend group. It's crazy how I went from having one best friend to having multiple. Nikolai and Delilah even Dimitri. however, mine and Dimitri's bond is more like siblings.

I walk to what was supposed to be Olivia's room and sit on the bed. I do this every day just to seek that feeling that she's with me. Grief is never-ending, you can be happy for months but still feel that missing piece within you. Sometimes I can be washing the dishes and I get the sudden urge to cry. The girl inside me misses hearing my mother's voice and pains me every day that I can't.

I stare at the room content with how I decorated it, "I miss you Livvy." I take a deep breath in and head downstairs to wait for Delilah. "Cara Mia, having friends over?" I snap out of my thoughts and look at my dad.

"Yes, we're just studying. Is that fine?" He nods and comes to give me a forehead kiss. "Have fun studying. I have a few meetings to attend. I'll probably be home late but call me if you need me, and I'll come right back home."

I hugged him goodbye and then five minutes later Delilah arrived. I waved goodbye to Alessandro who dropped her off and then we headed to my room.

"I still can't believe Nikolai gifted you a bookstore. Like, marry him now." I said after she finished telling me about her weekend. We were gossiping about school and then decided to finally start studying.

"I'm going to have a mental breakdown why do I always wait till the last minute to do assignments?" I sighed and then decided to take a break.

"I love your room, it's very you." I smile and thank her and then see she's looking at the pictures of me and Olivia. "Who's this if you don't mind me asking?" I smile at the picture of me and Olivia, we were ten in that picture.

"That's Olivia she's my best friend." Delilah looked at me and her eyebrows knitted in confusion. "I've never heard of her does she live in another state?" I swallowed past the lump in my throat and told her.

"She died last summer. In a car crash, she was heading to my house when she got struck. She was my childhood best friend and Dimitri's girlfriend." Delilah was speechless.

"I'm okay I've been going to therapy." She hugs me tightly and then pick at her fingers. "Cynthia I'm so sorry she passed so soon, just know I'll never replace her. She looked like the sweetest girl." I smiled and squeezed Delilah's hand.

"She was. I often think you would prefer Olivia more than me if she was here. She was supposed to move with us, god knows we all needed a fresh start" She smiles and then sighs.

"I've never had a childhood best friend, well other than Nikolai but we drifted apart once we grew. But you're my first ever girl best friend."I smiled at her and we talked more, completely forgetting about our work.
