So Delilah finally found out about our parents. I knew she wouldn't take it lightly in fact she ignored me and Dimitri at all costs and I planned on telling Dad to end things with her mother. But luckily she came around and confessed she needed to get used to this new change in her life, which is understandable.
we are currently sitting at the dinner table, dad wanted to host a small gathering to get to know everyone. One word, Awkward. I'm seated next to Dimitri who looks like he wants to be anywhere but here. Delilah is sitting in between her older twin brothers. Alessandro is on his phone while Elijah stares at his mom and my dad with a disgusted look. Or I think it's disgust.
"How did you meet my mother?" Elijah is the first to break the silence and everyone looks their way
"I was injured so the twins took me to the hospital, your mother was the one to operate on me. the rest is history." Alessandro hums and looks at Delilah then back at my dad,
"And you don't care that she has kids?" Dad's eyebrows scrunch together and he looks at dimitri and me, "I have kids of my own, I don't think it matters if you're my blood or not. It would be quite hypocritical of me to not accept her children."
another hum in response and Delilah's mom sighs. her kids look at her and then Delilah speaks up. "Well, I don't care more family is great, right? And besides Aleksandr and Dimitri are already my best friends." I nod my head at Delilah.
"you're right del don't you agree Dimitri?" I look at my brother and try to communicate to him to strike a conversation telepathically. He rolls his eyes at me and looks at Delilah and her siblings. "Yeah totally. So what do you guys do for fun we should totally hang out," he says in the most sarcastic tone ever and I swear my eye twitches.
Elijah suddenly starts laughing, "what's so funny?" Delilah is red from embarrassment as she looks at Elijah then at Alessandro.
"gosh, you're just like Alessandro I don't doubt you'll get along. Well, Delilah and I like to go on walks with Nova and watch romance movies. Me and Alessandro go to the gym every morning and then we head to work, we mostly travel so we're not home all the time."
"Oh and we have family game nights, per my request it was something dad did when we were little. You guys should come over and play we get really competitive" Delilah speaks up and I smile at her but her brothers turn serious. She looks at them confused and then she mutters a quiet sorry.
"What type of business do you guys do?" Dad speaks up and Alessandro looks at him, "we own several real estates as well as own hotels across different countries." Interesting. "And all this at 24? Wow I'm impressed." Alessandro nods and looks down at his hands.
"My father taught us if we want something we never give up until we achieve it." Delilah smiles and sits up. "Yes he did, and you both made him and mom proud right mom." She smiles and agrees with Delilah. Alessandro looks at his sister and then back to his mom
