"What do you want most in life darling?" We're lying on our blanket watching the stars and hearing the waves rolling in.

"I think you know what I want most. But to answer, I know deep down all I want to be is a mother. Is that weird shouldn't I want to be a doctor or teacher?" I smile and look at her.

"Like Meg said from little women.
Just because my dreams are different than yours, doesn't mean they're unimportant." She laughs and looks at me. God I love the sound of her laughter, my girl deserves to be happy.

"You need to stop watching movies with Delilah."

I shake my head and look back at the sky. "I want three kids, a big house with a yard where we can host barbecues and get you more cats." I smile, promising the universe I'll give her what she wants and more.

"We should name our son Killian Ivanov." I blurt out and she gasps looking at me, I look at her suddenly regretting saying anything, what if in the future we don't make it? That thought terrifies me, I dread living in a world where my Cynthia doesn't exist. "That's perfect!" She cuddles next to me and a song from the car radio plays and I instantly sit up.

"Dance with me, darling." She smiles and takes my hand. She places her head on my chest and we sway to the music.

"I love you, Aleksandr, with my whole heart." I kiss her head and cherish this sweet moment. I love dancing with Cynthia, it's such an intimate moment and I would dance with her in every lifetime if I could. In our private moments, Cynthia fully lets go and lets herself be loved in a way she deserves. her guard drops and she's a whole new person around me, It makes me incredibly satisfied knowing she only lets me see and bring out that side of her.

"Promise you'll wait for me, darling." I'm scared, I won't lie. I have a bad feeling about what will happen in those training camps. "I'm never leaving you. Even in death, I'll still be with you." I spin her around and pull her back into me. She better find me in death.

She shivers a little and I take off my sweater and put it over her. "Thank you, baby." I hum in response and lead her into the car. "Let's get you home it's late. Thank you for the amazing date darling." She smiles and holds my hand while resting her head against the window. She falls quickly asleep and I know it's because she loves car rides as she easily falls asleep.

So I drive for another hour before finally going home. When I get there I carefully pick her up and walk inside my house, the lights are out but I know my way around even in the dark. When I reach my room I carefully remove her shoes and head into my bathroom to get some makeup remover I bought specifically for her and lightly rub the makeup off her.

"Best boyfriend ever." She wakes up and smiles at me, "This is the bare minimum darling." She laughs and snuggles more into my blankets. She's so perfect. I had texted her father earlier for permission for her to stay and thankfully he said yes as long as she was safe. I won't do anything other than protect Cynthia, if anything happens to her I would feel like such a failure.

God knows how much she means to me. Before her, I simply existed I was covering up my sadness with fake joy, but with my Cynthia, I'm truly happy.

"Baby?" I hum in response while tracing my fingers up and down her arm in a soothing pattern. "you mean the absolute world to me." fuck there goes the fucking butterflies in my stomach. "you saved me Alek. without you constantly being there for me I wouldn't have made it. I'm a much stronger person because of you my love." I feel like ugly crying.

I kiss the fuck out of Cynthia, my gorgeous gorgeous girl. I lay beside her and she instantly wraps her arms around me and definitely goes to sleep. I however stay awake a few mor minutes to memorize every aspect of her face into my brain.

I'm so in love with her. I snuggle into her and close my eyes. Sleepovers with Cynthia are the best.
