That was all it took for Lucy to run out of the room crying. Everly started to cry to, Peter picked her up tucking her head into his chest before walking out of the room, not before pushing Edmund on the way.

"Owwwww" Edmund whined as he fell back into the bed. Peter and Susan ran after Lucy, as they turned the corner they could see Lucy hugging the professor.

Mrs Macready walked around the corner screaming "you children are one shenanigans shy of sleeping in the stables" she paused when she saw the professor "sorry professor, I told them you were not to be disturbed" she explained looking down.

"It's alright mrs Macready, I'm sure there's an explanation, but first I think these two are in need of some hot chocolate" he said pushing Lucy back a little, before giving her a nudge in Mrs Macready's direction.

"Actually I think Everly's ready for bed" Peter said looking down at his half asleep sister. "Come along dear" Mrs Macready said to Lucy as she placed a hand on her back and let her away.

Before Peter and Susan could leave the professor took them to his office.

"You seemed to have upset the delicate internal balance of my house keeper" the professor said looking down at them. "We're very sorry sir, it won't happen" Peter said and turned to walk out.

"Is she alright" the asked looking at Everly who was still in Peter's arms, sucking her thumb. "She does it sometimes, it helps her to sleep, it's been hard for her, being away from mum" Peter explained.

"It's our other sister sir, Lucy" Susan said. "The weeping girl" the professor said nodding. Peter cut them off "it's nothing we can't handle"he said, not wanting help.

"Oh yes, I can see that" the professor replied. "She thinks she's found a magical land!! In the upstairs wardrobe" Susan said, ignoring Peter. "What did you say" the professor said shocked.

He lead Susan and Peter over to the sofa in his office. "The wardrobe upstairs. Lucy thinks she's found a forest inside" Peter piped up. "She won't stop going on about it" Susan finished.

"What was it like" the professor asked intrigued. "Luke talking to a lunatic"Susan said. The professor waved his hand in dismissal. "No, no, no nothing her the forest" he said.

"You, you're saying you believe her" Peter said in disbelief. "You don't?" The professor asked. "But of course, I mean logically it's impossible" Susan says said.

"What do they teach you in school these days" the professor said to himself shaking his head in disbelief. "Edmund said he was only pretending" Peter confessed.

"And he's usually the more truthful one is he" the professor questioned. "No, this would be the first time" Peter admitted.

"Well then, If she's not mad and she not lying, then logically you must assume she's telling the truth" the professor said. "You're saying we should believe her" Peter asked.

"She's your sister, isn't she? Your family, might just try acting like one" the professor said ending the conversation there. Peter and Susan left the professors office and went separate ways.

Peter went to put Everly to bed. Peter later Everly on her bed to see her trying to force her eyes open. "Go to sleep Ev" Peter said as he knelt but the bed.

"No" Everly said shaking her head. Peter sighed as he stood up. He went over into the bathroom next door and filled her sippy cup with water, he then walked back into her room and went over to her cupboard where they keep her powder that helps her go to sleep.

Peter added the powder to the water and shook it up before walking over to Everly's bed and giving her the bottle.

Once Peter made sure she drank the bottle he kissed her head and went to his room and went to sleep.
