"The fire blazed strong as the fox spoke "I was helping Tumnus, The witch got here before I did" the fox cut himself off by crying out in pain as Mrs beaver helped clean his bite.
"Are you all right?" Lucy asked the fox. "Well I wish I could say their bark was worse than their bite, owww" the fox cried out in pain again. "Ohh, stop squirming!! You're worse than beaver on bath day" Mrs beaver told the fox.
"Worst day of the year" Mr beaver said as he shivered in fear. Lucy let out a little giggle at that. "Thank you for your kindness, but I'm afraid that's all the curing I have time for" the fox said standing up.
"You're leaving?" Lucy asked "it has been my pleasure, my queen, an honor" the fox said bowing his head. "But time is short and Alan himself has asked me to gather more troops" he said.
"You've met Alan?" Mr beaver asked in disbelief. "What's he like?" Mrs beaver asked. The fox chuckled at that "like everything we've ever heard, you'll be glad to have him by your side in the battle against the witch" the fox said.
"But we're not planning on fighting any witch" Susan said turning towards the fox "but surely, king Peter, the prophecy!" The fox argued. "We can't go to war without you" Mr beaver said.
Peter and Susan shared a look before Peter finally spoke " we just want our brother back." Peter said, looking between Mr. Beaver and the fox.
Everly, who was asleep in Peter's arms, stirred hearing this. "Edmund" she whispered. " I know, I know" Peter whispers into Everly's ear. "go back to sleep" he said rubbing her back again.
The beavers and pevensie's walked across a bridge made of rocks between two mountains. "Now, Aslan's camp is near the stone table just across the frozen river" Mr beaver said.
"River?" Peter questioned. Mr beaver was looking at something next to them. The Pevensie's turned to see what Mr beaver was looking at. They looked down to see a frozen lake far, far Away. "It's so far" Lucy said in a low voice.
"It's the world dear, did you expect it to be small?" Mrs beaver asked. "Smaller" Susan said. Looking back down at the few. Everly tugged on Peter's hand, getting his attention "pretty" she said pointing down at the frozen lake. "Very pretty" he agreed.
A few hours later Peter was carrying Everly because she was tired. Mr and Mrs beaver were in the front leading while the siblings struggled to keep up. "Come on humans!! While we're still young" Mr beaver called from in front.
"If he tells us to hurry up one more time, im gunna turn him into a big, fluffy hat" Everly and Lucy giggled at that. "Hurry up!! Come on" Mr beaver yelled. "Hi is getting a little bossy" Lucy said agreeing with Peter.
"No behind you!! It's her" Peter glanced behind him to see a sleigh heading their way. Peter held tighter onto Everly as he begun to run faster. Susan ran grabbing onto Lucy's hand before following Peter.
"Come on" Susan said running In front of Peter and Everly. They all dived into a small cave huddling up to each other. They could hear the jingling coming to a stop, they all held their breath.
They could see the persons shadow stood behind them. Mr beaver sniffed the air. "Maybe she's gone" Lucy said. " I suppose I'll go look" Peter said passing Everly to Susan. Lucy gabbed him before he could get up.
"Your with nothing to Narnia dead" Mr beaver whispered to Peter. Mr beaver went to go check instead, "well neither are you beaver" Mrs beaver said. Mr beaver grabbed her hand lovingly "thanks sweetheart" he said. But still walked out of the small cave.
