They sat their anxiously waiting for news off beaver when they heard a noice. "What was that" Lucy whispered, but was cut off by Susan 'shh'ing her. They could hear footsteps coming closer, they all sat closer at hearing someone walking towards them.

Something popped out from above them causing them to jump and shriek. Peter pushed Everly's head into his chest but let go after seeing it was only Mr beaver.

"Come out!! Come out!! I hope you've all been good, cause there someone head to see ya" Mr beaver told them, ushering them out of the small cave. "Santaaa" Lucy said upon seeing who it was.

"Hey,hey" Peter said bouncing Everly up and down in his arms, "look it is" he said. "It's Santa" he continued. Everly looked up to see who is was, she shrieked and flapped her arms after seeing who it was. " hey, hey, come down, it ok Ev" Peter said holding her hands in his.

Peter put Everly down and held her hand so they could go meet Santa. "Merry Christmas sir" Lucy said walking over to him. "It certainly is Lucy" Santa said nodding his head. "Since you have arrived" he continued, smiling.

"Look, I've put up with a lot since I got here, but this..." Susan whispered to Peter, trailing off. "We thought you were the witch" Peter said jumping in. "Yes, yes, I'm sorry about that, but in my defense. I have been driving one of these longer than the witch" Santa explained.

"I thought there was no Christmas in Narnia" Susan asked, remembering what Lucy told her when she went to Mr Tumnus's house. "No, for a long time, but the hope that you have brought, your majesties, is finally starting to weaken the witch's power. Still, I dare say you could do with these" he said taking a sack off of the sleigh.

"Presents" Lucy yelled, stepping forward. Santa grabbed something from the bag and held them out to Lucy. "The juice of the fire-fly, one drop with cure any injury" he said. He held out something else a small knife. "Though I hope you never have to use it" he said handing it to her.

"Thank you sir" Lucy said "but I think i could be brave enough" Lucy said looking worried. "I'm sure you could, but battles are ugly affairs" Santa said. Lucy backed away as Santa grabbed a bow and arrows out of the sack.

"Susan" he said "trust in this bow, and it will not easily miss" he continued. "What happened to 'battles are ugly affairs?'" Susan asked. Santa let out a little chuckle at that. "Though you don't seem to have a problem making yourself heard. Blow in this and wherever you are, help will come" Santa said giving a horn to Susan.

"Thanks" Susan said backing away. "Peter" Santa said as he took a sword and a shield from his sack. "The time to use these may be near at hand" he said handing the sword and shield to Peter. Peter pulled the sword out from its holder "thank you sir" he said looking at the sword.

"These are tools not toys, bare them well and wisely" Santa said. Santa crouched down to where Everly was stood by Peter "and we can't forget about you, now can we" Santa said pulling a small box from his sack. He opened up the box for Everly, it was a beautiful necklace with a ruby inside.

"This necklace will help you when you need it most" Santa said "but only to be used when truly needed" he continued before helping Everly put it on. "What do you say?" Peter said crouching down to Everly height. "Thank you" she whispered, looking down at the snow.

"Now, I must be off, winter is almost over, and things do pile up when you've been gone a hundred years" Santa said picking up his sack and put it back on his sleigh. "Long live Narnia" he said as he sat down on his sleigh. "And merry Christmas" he shouted as he rode off.

"Merry Christmas" they all yelled back. "Told you he was real" Lucy said to Susan smugly. "He said winter was almost over, you know what that means" Peter said. "No more ice" he continued when he saw their confused faces,
